We had an excellent day on the water with our family of 4 and our guide Ryan. Kept the 9 year old boys entertained with crab traps, salmon fishing and highlights of the community. Thank you Ryan for the nice morning. And the fish ;-)

This was our first chartered fishing trip ever and Captain Ryan helped make it a very memorable experience. He is a very knowledgeable fisherman/guide and had us laughing all day with plenty of great stories and conversation. My husband was ecstatic to catch one of the biggest fish he’s caught in his life (27 lbs. Chinook Salmon). We will definitely choose Clayoquot Ventures Tofino Fishing again!!

Ryan took my son and myself out for a morning fishing charter. We had a great time and caught lots of fish. Ryan is very knowledgeable and a great guide. He is great with kids, very patient and teaches them a lot about fishing. My son is already asking when he can go fishing with Ryan again. Thanks Ryan!

Jason, took our family on a boat, fishing trip and we caught great salmon. He took care of us, as our daughter became a bit seasick. AND: we saw a SUNFISH, more seldom and rare than a whale. Great tour, he knows the waters well and is a great great guide!

As the non-fishing companion of a group of fisherfolk I can comment on the miscellany of dealing with Clayoquot rather than the sporting aspect. Our guide, Ryan, was a hard-working charming guy. The weather was not kind on the day of our trip but Ryan did an amazing job keeping us in relatively calm water. When the fish were not biting (although he did locate fish!) he found whales and sea otters for us to watch. He also provided restaurant recommendations, interesting facts and anecdotes about the area, and funny stories. He was one part fishing guide, one part Chamber of Commerce ambassador, and one part whale watching guide. He was a champ. The front office staff at Clayoquot is efficient and persistent. She keeps everyone on schedule.
