went on the whale watching tour. The boat was comfortable and the crew went through all the safety items before we left making everyone feel comfortable. Water was very flat and the guide was always giving us information about the area wildlife and seascapes that we were going through. we did follow some whales for awhile and saw huge colonies... We went on the 1130 departure to the Hot Springs. We had to check in by 1110, and some people were late so met us on the dock at 1150, so that left us leaving 20 minutes behind schedule! However, we made up the time. Both captains were very knowledgeable. We were on the boat that holds 12 people. We... More

It was a misty Tuesday morning when my friend and I decided to book on to West Coast Aquatic Safari’s Hot Springs Tour. The departure was mid morining and we were aboard their 12 passenger, purpose built vessel, Wasco. Sea conditions were calm and we were tucked in among some little islands which made the one and a half hour... More

I was very impressed with the skipper and the naturalist. They were both female and they knew their stuff. The boat (the catamaran) was very comfortable. I was really impressed with the competence of the skipper. Even though we were in rough water, she knew how to give us the smoothest possible ride. The naturalist really knew her stuff as... More

We booked the trip to hot spring two days prior to leave. The free parking lot was full when we got there around 11am but we parked two blocks away. It's only $3.00 for 12 hours. The staff was very helpful and found the life jacks for my kids. We watched the whale mom and baby on the way to... More

Was a bit nervous to get back into a boat after a less than impressive whale watching adventure the day before (with another company) but was so pleasantly surprised by the boat we took to the Hot Springs Cove. The boat was heated (a nice touch after a cold day!) and the boat ride was fast and smooth. The captain... More

Had an amazing time on this tour, we were taken out to the shoreline where the bears congregate at low tide to pick up clams and crabs. The skipper knew exactly where to find the bears and got us in close and switched off the engines to allow us to observe the bears in their natural habitat (the bears take... More

I had an amazing experience with West Coast Aquatic Safari's while on a bear watching tour! The boats are very comfortable. They have awesome viewing decks which allow you to get amazing views from all angles (inside & out). We even got to sit with the Captain as she took us to the beaches and located the bears. The staff,... More

Great afternoon of whale watching (saw a bull orca), bald eagles, and seals. The crew were excellent - friendly, knowledgable, and safety conscious. Definitely recommend if you are in Tofino
