A very successful early morning trip. Our affable and knowledgeable guide and boat captain, Eugene, took us on a terrific two hour trip. Cruising from Tofino we sighted a bald eagle perched, water-level, awaiting his catch-of-the-day. Multiple bear sightings on the shoreline included a rare sighting of two bears in close proximity upending rocks searching for crabs. A spectacular sighting of a wolf on the shoreline was a highlight. A harbour dolphin and seals were spotted as well.

My husband and I were walking around Tofino when we spotted West Coast Aquatic Safaris… it peaked our interested so we went in and ended up booking a whale watching trip that was leaving in the next 45 minutes. Grace was very lovely and helpful when booking us in and handing out the jackets. Captain Jax was awesome! She was informative, otterly hilarious, and great at navigating the boat. We thoroughly enjoyed just being on the boat and seeing the beautiful ocean. It was a big bonus that we were able to see Sea Otters, Jelly Fish, a Grey Whale, and some big ol’ Sea Lions. I would absolutely recommend West Coast Aquatic Safaris. This was the best spontaneous booking! Thanks again Captain Jax!

We had a great time on our whale watching tour. We saw otters, seals, and a grey whale. The guides and staff are very personable, knowledgeable of the area, and really made the evening worthwhile. I would definitely recommend West Coast Aquatic Safaris to anyone looking for a whale watching adventure

A two hour bear watching water safari around the waterways of the islands leaving from downtown Tofino. Very safety conscious crew who were extremely friendly and expert. Excellent boat - bigger than the others we saw out on the water so very stable at high and low speeds. About twelve guests aboard. Enough seating outside and inside if inclement weather. We had three good sightings plus a colony (if that's the world) or seals chilling on a rock. Thanks to captain jacks and crew. Recommend.

We had a lovely morning bear watching trip boat trip with Eugene. There were only 4 of us on the trip which made it even more enjoyable. We saw three bears with the last one being very lively! The warm cabin is a nice option, although we stayed on the top deck the whole time. Ignore any of the reviews with less than 5 stars, they tend to be people just moaning about stupid issues!
