Long Beach, the longest beach of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, spans an extraordinary 16km (10mi) along the west coast of Vancouver Island. Described by locals to be magical, you will be astonished by the amount of life that call the tidal pools home. You will be sure to find crabs, shells, starfish, sea urchins and much more. As the surf comes crashing in, you will find surfers from around the world carving through the peaks of the waves. As the water settles, it gracefully rides up the beach with peaceful trickles and shimmering light from the breathtaking sunset crossing the colourful horizon. Long Beach is truly a rejunivating getaway for all ages. Whether you're looking to kickback, explore, adventure, hike, surf, or just take one of those long walks on the beach, Long Beach has it all.

This is the longest beach in Vancouver Island stretching over 16 kilometres. It has nice brown sand and four parking lots identified as A B C AND D. The waves are strong and is quite popular.

The title says it all, but just to make the minimum letter count- endless beaches and great surf. Pow

For surfing freaks a dream. A walk in the morning on the beach and you are going to change your mood. Unfortunately it is not a secret beach. A lot of tourists are there

Huge swathes of sand so enough for everyone. The beach is long as the name suggests and it is great to walk the whole length. Parking is available in several places.

The beach seems to stretch as far as you can see. It's really easy to spend a couple hours walking around and enjoying the scenery. Parking might be tricky because of the numbers of people that like to visit.

This stretch of beach looks very clean the water is very cold. There were surfers of various levels of expertise and some being taught to serve on the sand. We had a nice breakfast at the long beach resort.

So beautiful. Loved walking on the hard sand. The surfers were fun to watch. The water was too cold for me. Had to buy a park pass. They were giving out tickets.

This is worth a stop. Water is cold. Lots of surfers in wet gear. Very scenic. Be sure to pay for your parking. The attendants were writing tickets fast.
