Can you imagine fishing in Clayoquot sound on a beautiful September afternoon. I live out here, but as I work on one of the resorts. We do not get out often. A group from the front desk had the opportunity to go out on an adventure. To personally experience fishing with Coastal Charters. We got the full treatment. We started off setting a couple of crab traps. Then a boat ride to the top end of Vargus Island. Fishing is an exercise in patience. But we enjoyed the sunshine and the gentle roll of waves and the scenery. It took time before we landed our first fish. We changed spots and viewed a curious sea otter who showed us how. No whales this trip. By late afternoon we caught a couple more. Two of my coworkers caught their first fish ever. Then we went to pickup our crab traps. Discovered that it is hard work. Then back to the dock. A wonderful day with some team building and some sun burn.

Brin was an amazing guide. My nephews used him and his company for 2 1/2 days of fishing and they could not have been more happy. My brother and I watched them leave every morning and on their return the grins on their faces told the whole story. The company is amazing. Brin knows his stuff and has been around these waters for years. He's also a heck of a nice guy.

What a wonderful fishing excursion. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 12 and 10 year olds) booked a half day charter. We went in the afternoon. The guide Brian as I called him or now I think it was actually Ryan. Sorry. Anyways, he was fantastic and knowledgeable. Took us out to fish, set everything up, helped reel in the fish. We also did crabbing. Caught one big coho, few other fish that were not useful to keep. Got crab. This was our first time fishing so it was a wonderful experience. The guide cleaned our salmon at the end. Superb. Highly recommended.

We had a group of 12 in 2 boats for an afternoon of fishing. Ryan and Dal were our guides and these guys were fantastic! The groups said both guides were very knowledgeable and took them to some great spots - each boat came back with plenty of huge salmons. We were extremely short on time so Ryan took all the fish over the processing facility for us and arranged for us to pick everything up early the next day before we left Tofino. Brin was fabulous to work with - we had a shorter window of time than normal fishing charters and we worked it all in, so our group was super pleased! He was quick to respond and walked us through all the details. If you're looking for an AMAZING fishing charter - these guys are the best in town! Highly recommend them!!

We had an amazing time with Brin "Captain Nooner" for a full dya of fishing and wildlife spotting. Our family of four 2 adults, 1 girl (14), 1 boy (11) all had a go at fishing and we had great success reeling in some amazing Salmon. We saw eagles, sea lions, seals, otters and even a grey whale. Brin was a fantastic host, relaxed, knowledgable and patient with all our questions.

Captain Brin took our group of 6 out for a truly magical trip. He answered all of our questions and put us at ease, and we had a chance to take home loads of delicious seafood! This charter was the absolute perfect way to end a week in Tofino. Highly recommend and we'll definitely book again.

Thank you Graham for an amazing day on the water. Your knowledge, skill, and genuine excitement for what you do shines bright. Ive never seen anyone launch from their seat so fast when a fish jerks the rod. Christine and I enjoyed being with you. Next time we will do 8 hours instead of 6 as we enjoyed every minute.

Had a great time with captain Brin! He was very knowledgeable about the waters we were fishing and overall an amazing captain who cares so much about the health and safety of the crew. The fishing was a little slower that day so he took us crabbing for the last hour of the trip and we limited out on big Dungeness crab! I’ve lived on the coast my whole life and never seen that good crabbing before. Overall amazing trip and can’t wait to go out again!

I live on the west coast, but because I work nights at one of the resorts. I do not get out much. A chance came up to go out with a group from work. This was the first time that I went out fishing in about 7 or more years. We brought along 2 crab traps and strategically placed them. Then we went on a 30 minute ride to a place were they had been catching fish. We had not been trolling long before I caught my fish. For me, the size was not the concern. It was a fish. Others in the group caught fish. A couple were too small to keep. We then traveled back to the crab traps. One trap had a couple of keepers. The other trap was empty. Captain Brin then took us to watch an eagle show us how fishing is done. This was a wonderful trip, good company and lots of fun. I would recommend.

We had a great half day with Brin. No luck with salmon but then went out further and caught some lingcod. Brin made us rookie fishermen feel super comfortable. Can’t wait to get back out with Brin again soon.

Hi Karen,
Sure we can arrange a 4 hour tour for you. Are you currently in Tofino or was there a particular date you had in mind for your tour? Perhaps we could connect this morning for a chat via telephone and I can answer any questions you may have.
