It was low season we made a reservation and were the only customers so had the whole place to ourselves. I guess it was too cold to sit outdoor and not a lot of view on a cloudy day. I would imagine it to be really special in the summer. We rarely drink cider but we tried two and bought one bottle back.

The food was pretty good. It was tapas like so small portion. We were not hungry and was mostly looking for things to do while in Salt Spring Island for an early season kayaking. The lamb sausage was very good, crispy and juicy, yummy. The duck was nice too but a little dry.

Visited Salts Spring Wild Cider on a sunny afternoon. Great location with looks of outdoor seating in a garden/farm setting. Ordered and enjoy a great tasting cider flight plus a meat & cheese plate. Friendly & knowledge staff. A great way to spent an hour or two on a sunny day in a laidback atmosphere. If you enjoy or want to try cider I would recommend Salt Spring Wild Cider.

Venison sausages, with butternut squash/potato mash and kettle chips. My spouse went for the special sandwich of the day, fried chicken with cranberry chutney. The venison sausages were large, tender and tasty the mash buttery almost creamy and the chips perfect. But it was the cranberry chicken that made headline. Crispy chicken, layered with cranberry chutney and all the fixing. The version dish was excellent but my spouse insists I use the word divine to describe the chicken sandwich.
All this washed down with a selection of superb cider's.

The restaurant was understaffed when we got there but the server available hustled hard and adapted service to provide the best experience possible. We sat outdoors on the sunniest day and ordered a flight of their cider selection, a nice IPA and a charcuterie board that was sure to please the most discerning enthusiast. Well behaved dogs are allowed in the outdoor patio. We enjoyed our lunch and would return, even selecting our favourite cider to take home.

Such a bummer, my friend and I are locals and we used to come here every few days or on the weekends with a group. They got a new chef recently and their whole menu changed. Extremely expensive for weird r bland flavors. They took all the good things off their menu, they used to have an organic, fresh, fancy, colorful vibe but now they are more fried pantry country kind of style. The figs and the polenta went straight downhill. I didn't even want to finish my plate. Wish we could keep coming here but it's been more disappointing every time we try to give it a chance.

This place would be so nice to go during the summer to enjoy their casual patio. You order at the counter and take a seat if your drink is not ready right away. We ate inside and had a traditional flight, cassoulet and meatballs. There is a wall of cider bottles so you can take some home to enjoy. Nice, casual environment to hang out.

Great tasting facility – solid Covid-19 protocols (line up for sanitized table, seat yourself, line up to order), lots of outdoor shaded picnic table seating overlooking a meadow. Apparently each year they work on making the facility a little better, and it shows.

Enjoyed the assortment of 10 ciders, though we would have preferred if you could have selected the 5 you wanted in your flight rather than going with their pre-selected options (Dry, Extra Dry, Pear, Scrumby, Grapefruit). All the ciders were really fresh and not too sweet. Nicely done!

Add to the top of your list of things to do while on SSI. Great service, cider, outdoor area AND it’s dog friendly! We were sad to have eaten at a restaurant before we got there when we saw all the food coming out. It all looks so good! We can’t wait to come back and have a cheese board with our cider! 10/10

The cidery is a delight for two reasons. First, the cider is great! Highly recommend the flights -- they're fun, well presented, and delicious (personal favourite is the Scrumpy when available). Important for me is that none of their cider is particularly sweet. If you can't stay to try the flight, take a bottle or 2 home and enjoy it there. Second, the cidery is a charming venue for a meal or light bite. The food is fresh, creative, and wonderful and the vibe is awesome. Very Salt Spring. LOTS of casual outdoor seating (think picnic tables) in a pastoral setting. Fab experience overall!

The full flight gave us a good taste of a variety of the ciders offered. Unfortunately, the staff must have been overworked as we got a "ho hum" reaction from everyone we engaged with, from the person who was at the front to the person who rang up our purchases. We had Salt Spring Wild Cider before coming to the cidery and was looking forward to our visit. The stuffed fig with gorgonzola cheese appetizer was delicious. The choice of country music was a bit unusual. Although I did not mind it, for those who would be put off by country music they might feel uneasy.
