The whole experience was amazing, the ciders were incredible as was the food I ate. My fave was the plum cider and the fried chicken sandwich and squash soup was super tasty. I would have paid for the soup recipe! Staff were lovely as was our visitor during lunch ❤️

This place would be so nice to go during the summer to enjoy their casual patio. You order at the counter and take a seat if your drink is not ready right away. We ate inside and had a traditional flight, cassoulet and meatballs. There is a wall of cider bottles so you can take some home to enjoy. Nice, casual environment to hang out.

Impressive ciders, delicious food, friendly staff, a cute dog, and all in a lovely setting. It was so good that we visited twice during our 4-day stay on the island. It's hard to find restaurants that are kid-friendly but also satisfy parents, but this one does both.

We did the flight to start--all ciders were unique, but we were able to narrow it down to our two favourites. The Scrumpy cider is full-bodied and complex. The grapefruit was bright and summery without being overly tart or one-note. Our 5-yr-old loved the sparkling juice.

The food menu is incredible and has options for all kinds of dietary needs. No other restaurant we tried on the island compared in terms of quality. We will definitely be back!

The full flight gave us a good taste of a variety of the ciders offered. Unfortunately, the staff must have been overworked as we got a "ho hum" reaction from everyone we engaged with, from the person who was at the front to the person who rang up our purchases. We had Salt Spring Wild Cider before coming to the cidery and was looking forward to our visit. The stuffed fig with gorgonzola cheese appetizer was delicious. The choice of country music was a bit unusual. Although I did not mind it, for those who would be put off by country music they might feel uneasy.

After browsing around the island, sitting under the cool umbrella at Salt Spring Wild was the perfect end to a great day. Covid precautions helped people feel comfortable and included outdoor seating only (current practice), self seating, controlled ordering and self food pick up through a pager system. Reservations are available which you may want to consider for this popular place. Dogs were more than welcome to join in the fun and there were plenty of bowls filled with water for hot and thirsty pets. My daughter and I shared a full flight of cider which includes both the traditional and modern flights (apparently we are traditionalists) the meatballs and the cheese and charcuterie platter. The food was delicious and we ate every last crumb. Reservations are possible They sell all the ciders in 750 ml bottles with a volume discount for orders of 12. Trust me, you will be hard pressed to leave with just one bottle. Merchandise is also available. The website is informative and helpful.

We went for dinner with friends and family who live on Saltspring Island.
This place is doing well with anti-Covid procedures. Clearly they are taking restrictions seriously, and still providing a great experience.
We ordered several dishes and mixed and matched most of them. Everything was delightful. We plan on another visit when we are next on SSI.

We come to saltspring often and always come to the cidery. The food used to be ok but recently the food has been incredible. Heard a rumor they hired a new chef recently and it definitely paid off. The food is yummmmmy and the cider is amazing. I can't believe someone gave this place a 1 star. I even had the polenta and it was great. Maybe an off day for those people. I highly recommend this place, cute patio, amazing cider and incredible food. highly recommend.

The cidery is a delight for two reasons. First, the cider is great! Highly recommend the flights -- they're fun, well presented, and delicious (personal favourite is the Scrumpy when available). Important for me is that none of their cider is particularly sweet. If you can't stay to try the flight, take a bottle or 2 home and enjoy it there. Second, the cidery is a charming venue for a meal or light bite. The food is fresh, creative, and wonderful and the vibe is awesome. Very Salt Spring. LOTS of casual outdoor seating (think picnic tables) in a pastoral setting. Fab experience overall!

Such a bummer, my friend and I are locals and we used to come here every few days or on the weekends with a group. They got a new chef recently and their whole menu changed. Extremely expensive for weird r bland flavors. They took all the good things off their menu, they used to have an organic, fresh, fancy, colorful vibe but now they are more fried pantry country kind of style. The figs and the polenta went straight downhill. I didn't even want to finish my plate. Wish we could keep coming here but it's been more disappointing every time we try to give it a chance.

It was low season we made a reservation and were the only customers so had the whole place to ourselves. I guess it was too cold to sit outdoor and not a lot of view on a cloudy day. I would imagine it to be really special in the summer. We rarely drink cider but we tried two and bought one bottle back.

The food was pretty good. It was tapas like so small portion. We were not hungry and was mostly looking for things to do while in Salt Spring Island for an early season kayaking. The lamb sausage was very good, crispy and juicy, yummy. The duck was nice too but a little dry.
