The food quality is good. The server was ok but by no means someone that has done it as a profession. The pricing is more than it should be …. A hamburger regardless of what you put on it should not be $ 23.50. Even if it is 1/2 a pound…really ? Also your at a winery , serving their wine and they are asking you to pay $13.00 for a 6 oz glass. Not sure how the overhead creates that pricing.

So if you feel spending a lot for good food and fair wine not spectacular food and wine with average service makes you feel like good …visit and enjoy.

Set in the old Penmar movie theatre TIME Family of Wines bridges past with present in this beautiful urban winery. State of the art, elegant and cosmopolitan with its refurbished ceiling and beams it’s both alluring and warm. Created by the legendary McWatters family(2018) whom were one of the pioneers in the valley (Sumac Ridge) now pass the torch to Ron & Shelley Mayert with every intention to maintain the wonderful legacy.

WM Lynzee Schatz is a new addition but this Charles Sturt University graduate has made wine in Ontario, Australia, and California. Very personable and passionate about great wine.

A special and celebratory night with the unveiling of their new passion project and direction, OROLO. A slight remodel, new perspective on dining and stunning cocktail bar this is comfortably the breath of fresh air the South Okanagan needed.

Culinary Director Chef Kirk Morrison (George Brown, apprenticed with Chef Lynn Crawford at Four Seasons, Restaurant 18, Cibo Trattoria, Saltlik) is pairing with Head Chef Damian Cole and Dan Vichitthavong to present a beautifully crafted seasonal, locally sourced menu. Focus is high quality dry-aged BC farmed beef along with lovely seafood, vegetarian and local favourite options (the burger!). Sensational! Chef Morrison’s expertise, energy and passion definitely translates through to the presentation. I’ve always enjoyed Chef Cole’s menu and this refresh showcases his talent!

Seeing Harry’s vision carry forward with the Mayert’s and with new life of Chef Morrison the McWatters family can be proud! Can’t wait to come back- it’s a “must visit”!

Thank you Christa-Lee for the invite, Orolo is destined for great things! Thank you Lavina for the wonderful and warm service and setting up the private tour with Tom. Pleasure to meet you Chef Morrison and I wish for your success! 🏆🍷🥂🍇

If you enjoy the lovely wine experience here you should see the satellite location at the world class District Wine Village! 🍷🥂☀️

Great wine selection and ambiance. We have visited Time Winery several times and more recently on a hot day found the outdoor patio area shady and quite comfortable during our meal and birthday celebration. The service was about right, not rushed or too slow and the staff were quite attentive. The restaurant and washrooms were very clean and sanitary. The only other comment I have is that a more varied menu may be suitable to more people.

In late April 2023, we were blessed with a pretty fantastic winetasting experience here.
Kelly was very friendly and inviting, and I felt fortunate at the amount of time that she spent, explaining the evolution of this winery. I say fortunate, because we were able to go behind the scenes and look at the tasting room while it was under construction. in fact, we were blessed enough to be able to take a look at all of the developments of this fairly new location. You wouldn’t know it, but they have an entire production facility, right downtown, complete with everything you need to make the wine… Large tanks, barrel storage, everything. It was quite something to see.

Back to the tasting, we enjoyed our tasting at the bar in the restaurant. They had a decent selection of very good wine like evolve sparking wine, Chardonnay Pinot blanc
white effervescence which was Chardonnay Pinot blanc I think she said,
a different version of that followed by 2021 Pinot Gris
And more.
A note about the restaurant, they Source their proteins/meat from locally grown, organic, where possible. you can see some of the meat as it’s ‘dry aging.’ They will take one of these hunks of meat, and cut your steak They cook it. I don’t know any other place in the Okanagan that does this. We were told that their menu is pretty much constantly changing, as nothing will be served if it isn’t fresh or Current, as far as locally sourced as much as possible, is concerned. This restaurant takes its food very seriously, and you’ll know this when you dine here.

Overall, it was a very good tasting experience, located right down in Penticton, BC. if you have some time, I recommend checking this place out.

Other notes:
The entire facility is located in a heritage building, so there were some limitations imposed upon how much change they could make.
There won’t be any other tasting bar like this in the Okanagan, they’ve made quite the effort to capture the wine tasting, “cocktail culture“ fine dining, a shared place, with some private rooms for you to book a more intimate function and/or events. I think they’ve even had at least one proposal planned on this location :-)

Absolutely enjoyed this winery so much! We had the pleasure of enjoying some of their amazing food during our 4 days wine touring .... loved it so much went back 2 more times, once for brunch and again for dinner. The staff/servers were so kind and knowledgeable regarding the food and wine that we ended up joining their wine club( which we have loved the personalized service from Kerri-Anne) . My husband could not stop talking throughout the meal of how good his burger was... he loves his food and found he did have trouble finishing it as it was so plentiful. The server ( sorry I can't remember her name ) was very tentative to my wheat allergy and walked me through what I could eat from the menu. Their fries and garlic aioli dip was to die for. Highly recommend stopping for a great meal, nice ambience and fantastic wine! We did find out that the winery is owned by a local family which makes it more personable to us,as many wineries in the Okanogan are being bought up by big companies... love supporting local ❤

Last minute date night in Penticton, had a reservation elsewhere that the restaurant canceled at the last moment, decided to stop at Time. No wait time and got a table right away. Offered Evolve Effervescence as a free taster to get started, it was very sweet for sparkling prosecco-style, but it was delicious, Melons, Honey, Stonefruit. Will be buying for the fridge for impromptu house guests or patio party. We started with the focaccia and the Evolve Gewurtz, the focaccia was good and the Gewurtz was fine but it lacked some acidity. Watched the table next to us order the Viognier and the Gnocchi, which hindsight, should have been the call, but both were fine, nothing wrong or unpleasant. Ordered the burger and Time Cab Sauv for the next course, and both were nothing short of amazing. Bacon jam was delicious on the burger, buns by Petrasek bakery, and the Cab Sauv had just the right amount of pepper. Server was friendly and attentive, and we'll 100% be back to try more food and wine.

Well-located in downtown Penticton, with good food, wine, and friendly staff. Between the six of us, we enjoyed various burgers—bison, or, shiitake mushroom—and the upgrade to the Parmesan garlic fries is well worth it. Delicious and reasonably priced, with a substantial wine list. Recommended. Street parking required, but during Covid the fees were waived.

My boyfriend and I really appreciate good, adventurous food and Time Winery provided us with that and more. The duck confit poutine with dried cherries is something we will talk about for a long time as it was fantastic. The Nashville chicken waffle sandwich was also crazy good - I can’t stop thinking about it. The textures! We each had a flight of wine, one white and one red which were obviously delicious and paired really well with our meals. Can’t stress enough how much we enjoyed our experience here! Our waitress Angelle was also very good and we will be back, guaranteed.

We had an amazing time at Time Winery. It's very cool as it's downtown Penticton, so quite pratical if you are in town and don't want to go too far or have limited time while exploring the area. We tried the sabering (very cool), and had our bottle our on the patio with delicious burgers! They even make their mayo in ketchup there, it's something else ;) We definetely recommended, thanks to Chelsea for the warmth welcome and Kerri-Anne for the exciting tasting!

My wife and I attended the winery for a couples private wine tasting.
Angelle was an amazing host and really knew the wines well. Also had a private taste right out of the barrel (Cab Franc I think)
Then we ordered an amazing lunch ('green eggs and ham' benny & original Time burger) paired with more wine!
Thanks so much Angelle - we'll be back!
