A wide flat melacon lines the long beach, the stroll is family friendly and relaxed. Play centres along the way: kids parks, teens volleyball pits, benches, statues, gardens, points of interest, bathrooms. Cool, deep park land, with picnic areas separate the park from the highway.

The lake was a very peaceful blue-green in colour and it had shimmering stars in the distance as the sun reflected on it. Relatively quiet in spite of the weekend visitors, we made our way to its sandy beach. The idyllic scene was so peaceful and exhilarating at the same time.

First time to this park and very impressed. Very popular park. Nice grassy park, picnic tables and lots of benches, shade trees, paved paths, free parking, bathrooms, 2 playgrounds and splash park for kiddies, beach volleyball, Tickleberrys icecream, worlds largest sundial, and very nice sandy beach. Red buoys mark drop off, white buoys further out to keep boats out. Also went to Sudbury Beach a little further down the road. It has an even bigger sandy beach and you can walk way further out there (but it has none of the other attractions) but both are very nice for swimming. (We found Skaha Lake was cooler than Okanagan Lake but refreshing.)

The park is great, we were here during “lock down” and used the park to picnic and just hang out and read books, they have great picnic tables and good benches along the waterfront. It was just the start of beach volleyball season and a few teams were our, the courts are in great shape, well maintained. The park was always clean and serviced.

Stopped here on our way to Vancouver from Kelowna. Really nice beach and the water was great too. Even though it was super smoky we still had a great beach day. Jealous of the people that live in the area and can come here whenever

Came here with our take out lunch with our lawn chairs to eat. Lots of trees providing shade in the park and we ran into the water and back to finish off our quick time here. Really fun and can't wait to return for longer!

Best beach in Penticton, has a park on one side and beach on the other. If you like deep water stay near the marina end by the sundial as it is dredged and drops off quickly ... if you like a long walk to depth then go to Sudbry Beach to the west which is a more family type environment. Parking is at a premium at both so if you go mid afternoon in the summer expect to look for a bit ... also beware the parking cops

If you want to play in the water or lie on the beach this is a great place to visit, but if you are interested in docking a boat, going to a nice restaurant or want to do anything except watch your kids play in the playground or on the most times not working splash pad, this is a lousy place to spend your time!
Having grown up in Vancouver, I'm used to having some options when we visit beaches or parks, and as far as I'm concerned this place just doesn't cut it!

On a beautiful winter morning in February, the park is quiet and you are one with nature. It's beautiful to just stop, relax, take a deep breath and take it all in!

Hi, I did see the odd dog on leash but usually during the quieter part of the day. I do not believe that they encourage dogs on the beach.
Is the boat launch open now

Sure is! There is an adventure playground for ages 2-12, a splash pad and an interactive natural 'discovery' park not to mention the fabulous beach.

There is no fee to go in the park. Cost is for Paddle Boarding and Fly Boy. There are food vendors there as well. Tickle Berry's ice cream. Volley Ball, Basket Ball Court and a free outdoor gym (resistance training). Great place for the family. Kids play area.
