My wife and I were in BC for a week from Toronto and one of the wineries we visited during our 2 days in the Okanagan was Pentage, this winery is located up a narrow road but once you get up there the views are beautiful and the wine is very good. One of the owners was serving us and we were very impressed with the selection of wines she poured us. Our favourite, which is there specialty wine was the Port in a Storm, this is a Port style/fortified type wine, so smooth and easy drinking, we bought a bottle and will be ordering a lot more of it when we get back to Toronto.

First off - winery dogs. I love them and they are adorable little greeters. If you're not a dog person, they are not overly in your face, but if you (like me) love dogs, they will happily accept all the cuddles.
The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer any questions. The tasting sips are changed year over year so you can always try something different. Talking to some folks at different wineries, the owners also sound lovely, they've helped some other newer wineries get their operations up and running (haven't had the pleasure of meeting them personally yet).
With a variety of wines, there's sure to be something for every palette - we stop in every time we are in the Okanagan and became wine club members after our first visit.
A bit of a windy drive to get there - definitely make sure you have a designated driver for this one!!

Our visit to Pentage Winery was first class from beginning to end.
Just a short drive from Skaha Lake in South Penticton, Pentage Winery is beautifully situated overlooking the lake.
The tasting room is welcoming, roomy and breezy on a warm day. Tasting fees are refunded with purchase. In addition to numerous wines, Pentage had juice, cheeses and chilled wines available for purchase. Shaded picnic tables (overlooking Skaha Lake) are a really nice touch.
We were offered a variety of wines and sampled several. We very much enjoyed both their whites and reds. The entire tasting experience was greatly enhanced by a host who introduced each of the wines enthusiastically, providing background information and thoughtful insight.
Highly recommended for locals and visitors to the South Okanagan.

We spent a week in the South Okanagan in August, primarily to visit wineries and restock our cellar. Our tasting experience at Pentage was the worst by far. We arrived and were greeted pleasantly enough. however, the wines being poured that day were two whites and two reds. We advised that we are primarily red wine drinkers and hoped we could try more reds than whites. We also advised that we had visited previously and had just recently drank a bottle of their wine, which we had quite enjoyed. Finally, we also indicated that we were very much on the hunt for cabernet franc wine and noted that they had cab franc but it was not on the tasting list for that day. We gave as many hints as we could about wanting to try the cab franc and given we had visited previously and purchased wine, we’d likely buy some. No dice. The host was completely unresponsive and inflexible, suggesting that we could always buy some cab franc and take our chances without trying it first! We finished our tastings and left without buying a thing. We ended up buying over 6 cases of wine during our trip from over a dozen different wineries. We had many great tasting experiences and found the vast majority of tasting hosts to be very flexible with what they were offering us to taste once we advised that we were primarily consumers of red wine. Anyway, will not be be returning to Pentage.

Pentage Winery, an exceptional experience. My wife and I have been members of the wine club for over 10 years; the tasting room is cozy and the staff very informative and not snobby at all. Real people with a passion for their wines.
Well worth the short drive from Penticton. The picnic areas are great.

Great selection of wines and my favourite is the Pinot Gris🥂 it also is available in a box format handy for summer visitors to share....mine will last longer in this Covid time!!!!
Love the Syrah!!!
Our” go to” quiet wine shop with stunning views for frequent picnics with friends and family. Caves tour added bonus with owners if arranged.
Take the winding country road to sit and sip with wonderful owners💐🍷

Incredible views, fantastic wines and exceptional experience. The rock cave is really interesting and impressive. The tasting room is great and has a fabulous outdoor area to enjoy the view of both lakes.

Bring your picnic basket and enjoy a bottle, or two, of some of the most delicious wines in the valley. But remember to call ahead the reserve a patio table. Views are spectacular! Julie and Paul are great people and are the vintners of Pentage and are happy to show you around the vineyard…they’ll even let you pick the grapes. You don’t want to miss out on visiting their tasting room. Enjoy!

Beautiful winery with a breathtaking view of Skaha Lake and Penticton. Wonderful wines and amazing hosts. Have a couple of tables where you can either bring your picnic lunch or buy supplies up there.

What an amazing and unique winery! We enjoyed every wine we tasted so much that we ordered a couple cases. Pentage is truly a unique place with an interesting story - and how often do you have the owner himself give you a tour?! Especially enjoyed the "scooby snacks" as many wineries we visited have nothing more than crackers (if you're lucky!) Thank you Paul & Julie for the hospitality, we can't wait to come back for another visit! Tyson & Kristen
