The Japanese Garden is small but cleverly laid-out, featuring a huge koi pond, small stream & bridge, and several seating areas right next to Okanagan lake and the art gallery. It's a great place to take your coffee and a book, or just a quick...More

This is a lovely garden in which to spend some quiet contemplative time. It was particularly pleasant on a sunny late Fall afternoon when the tourists have gone and the foliage is showing its colours. Sitting watching the very large Koi swimming lazily in the...More

The garden is a little run down but still elegant in it's own way. I love watching the huge Koi in the pond.

My wife and I walked through the gardens while strolling through the beach area. It is a nice, peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding beaches. It's not very large but what is presented in this small area is very nice. Certainly...More

We cut through here on our way downtown after breakfast by the Marina. It was quiet and clean. The walls blocked out the rest of town.

It was a pleasant place to walk through, and sit on a bench in the shade. We did not like it that people were smoking marijuana in a little side path. Highlight is the koi in in the pond. It is very small and has...More

While waiting for my family Sea-Dooing, went to the Japanese Garden - it was ok. It was lacking the feel of Japanese culture. Nice break on my walk though

Although I have visited these gardens many times during the summer months, my first winter tour was also wonderful. The gardens take on a whole different look when covered in snow. I have not had the opportunity to visit Penticton's sister city, Ikeda, in Japan...More
