Wine was decent. Staff on the other hand was less than friendly. Not one member smiled when we were there (parents, friend, and myself). Super unfriendly and off putting, especially the man who took our payment at the end - as if we were annoying them by being there. Not impressed and left with a bad feeling in my mouth.

As we were arriving in town late in the day I phoned to confirm it was still ok to come for a tasting and they said fine. We arrived even sooner that I said we would and we were greeted at the door and told “we’re closed” even it was well before closing time. After I said we called we were reluctantly seated at the patio. We explained we only wanted to taste reds, but whites were brought. The server then took them away with a roll of her eyes. The reds were brought, and the description of each was abrupt and hurried. The server left and never came back. The wines were not good in comparison to other wineries. We are a 60+ couple that tour wineries every year and purchase many cases. In all the years we have been doing this, this was our only bad experience and we will not return to Red Rooster

Our group tasted 4 wines - healthy pours of each with some fun pairing cards available - Burke was awesome - Covid has made things different so people just need to chill on that!! We appreciated not having fancy tasting notes telling us what to expect and also we appreciated the quick presentation and then being left to just enjoy the wine and relax in the garden area. After 8 wineries over 2 days it was a pleasure to just sit and enjoy.

We were booked in for a bachelorette wine tasting(10 people). Half the party was seated in the shade on a very hot day-(nice) and the other half was seated in the sun. Sweat dripping down my back in the hot sun. When we asked about moving into the shade it was simply not possible for the staff to do this for us. Wines were quickly described but we were left with no tasting sheets or further information on the wines. I understand that Covid restrictions have altered everything but if you can laminate the wine information sheets and they can be wiped down with disinfectant it makes the experience much better. Wines were okay but the experience was Miserable. I am from the area and would not recommend the Red Rooster Winery to anyone. Afterall it is all about the Experience at the winery! There are several excellent wineries on the Naramata Bench and I would ultimately choose to go somewhere else. August 28/20
