My sister, her daughter and I visited this resort located approximately 35 minutes from Penticton. After parking in a lot within walking distance of the Village, we set out to explore the area. We passed a skating loop and watched people enjoying the ice. We also passed by condos, lodges and cabins as we made our way to the shops and restaurants. Visitors were masked and maintained social distancing. We learned that other winter activities including snowmobile tours, hockey and snowshoeing were available. We watched skiers being pulled up the mountain by a t-bar. We studied a large map of the surroundings showing the 67 ski runs as well as the various ways to access the elevations. As we explored the Village, I was interested in the “hitching post” type of holders for skiers and snowboarders to place their equipment when they wanted to enter a shop or restaurant. Several carved, wooden totems appeared to stand on guard near a picture-taking venue.

Ticket price doesn’t reflect to size and experience of the mountain. Maybe if it were to have a locals discount your would see more business and people there. It’s a ghost town most of the time. It is a decent little hill to ride but for that amount of money I would only visit minimal amounts.

This is a world class winter sports destination without the crowds. A local secret. The mountain accommodations are terrific. Many restaurants. Make sure you save some time for the tire tube rides down the mountain.

Spent my 30th Birthday up at Apex! The skiing is amazing both downhill and back country! Plenty of snowshoe and other activities that can be done with out a lift pass. The Gun Barrel put on a great night also with live music!
