Most impressive structure in the Bench so far is this tall wooden edifice with a tower. Originally the site of an apricot farm, it now includes a winery and restaurant... and offers a free, self-guided tour of the winemaking facilities in the tower. Our attendant Kyle hales from Perth (city of my birth!) and enthusiastically introduced us to the winery’s... More

We went here for a nice light lunch. The food selection was limited but all the choices were extravagant. The wines were all full bodied and tasty. All the food had a suggested wine for a pairing. It was very busy however so I would recommend that you make a reservation before going to the bistro. We had the brie... More

Having been in the area for a couple days we did a couple wineries as one should. Hillside was by far my favourite tasting for a couple reasons. The first is the wine! It was fantastic and very tasty (I may or may not be sipping the Gewürztraminer as I type). The second was the lady that did the tasting... More

Not only does Hillside have the best wines in Penticton; it also has the best tasting room (large); awesome staff; and an incredible restaurant.

This is a great winery, the staff are lovely and you will have a great tasting experience here. The wines are hit and miss from year to year. They have a wide variety and there will always be something that you will want to take home with you. It just may not always be the same wine.

The day we stopped in was a summer Saturday and it was packed. The restaurant (or so we hear) is a great option in the area and requires reservations - so maybe this is a good 'final destination' on a wine tasting route. I wish I could be more positive about the tasting itself: our server was quite nice, gave... More

Wonderful location for this beautiful winery. Didn't get a chance to eat at the bistro but heard fantastic things. Rose was my favourite took a bottle home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here while biking the KVR. My husband had to return for my cell phone, which I'd left on the trail (!!) and the staff graciously hosted me and our one-year-old for an hour before he returned and we could eat. Everyone was so friendly and the food was fantastic. I also love that it backs... More

After a nice day out on a Monday, we came for dinner here. The new menu is AMAZING! It was quiet with only a few tables that were busy, but it's off season. Really nice wines and a beer option for those non-wine drinkers. Check out the hamburger!

There are several things I come for at Hillside. Obviously the wine. I very much enjoy their Gewürztraminer and their Muscat.(yes, I like Muscat!) Both I find fresh and full of flavour. The staff is friendly and willing to share their passion for their product. Another feature is the building itself. It is a timber frame structure in the form... More
