We were in Penticton for a few days and wanted to rent kayaks for a paddle on Skaha Lake — and Skaha Lake Marina had just what we needed, two single kayaks that would be ready for us at 9 am so that we could be out on the water before it got too hot. They have a self-serve kayak launch we’d never seen before. The kayak is held just above the water line and is very stable for getting in and out. Then you place your paddle in the notches and pull yourself into (or out of) the water. Reasonable rates, and although the young people running things are not as attentive as they could be, it’s a brief interaction before we are out on the water.

We rented the Bayliner 8-passenger speedboat (seats 6 comfortably). The staff all seemed to be young but were friendly, helpful and easygoing. The boat pickup process was not long or tedious (as I have experienced at other places in the past).
The boat was in good shape and was plenty powerful to tow a 2-person tube and then a water-skier. Easy to drive and responsive.
We had to get off the lake earlier than we planned but that was due to the wind suddenly picking up and creating waves that came over the bow! Great adventure!

Wonderful experience at Skaha Marina. Very friendly staff. A big shout out to Brooks who was really understanding as the weather was not the nicest and allowed us to do 30 minutes Jetski and charged us half price. We also rented the electric picnic boat and it was really fun. We were a party of 10 with 4 kids.
Definitely recommended.

Would never go back! Quoted rental price on phone and then when booking added extras for: GAS & Software Service Charge (DUH?) totalling another $30 or so bucks, neither of which were mentioned in the initial call. To make matters worse we were charged for 2 , 1 Hr rentals instead of a single 2 Hr rental which I discovered after talking with another customer. Requested and finally talked to the manager about misrepresentation of charges and incorrect billing for rental who smugly informed me that he was a 3rd yr law student and everything was done above board. A few hours later he called back to inform me he would give me a credit adjustment on the rental issue but no give on the gas and other charges which, in my opinion should have been factored into the hourly rental rate. Too bad the customer service is not what it should be otherwise it may have been a great experience for the teenagers. Unfortunate they're the only game on that side of town - tsk, tsk!

We had a party of 6 for a two hour rental of the Luxury Party Cruiser on Canada Day from 4 - 6 pm. Our skipper (Hayden)was provided by the Marina. The whole experience was excellent and our party had a great time. The boat was perfect despite windy/choppy conditions for the first 30 minutes. Hayden was entertaining and very professional. We would definitely do this again and recommend this experience.

From the initial "Good morning" to the departing "Thank you for coming, we hope you had a good time", the Team at the Skaha Lake Marina delivers the friendliest service in the area. Much more engaging than most 5 star hotels!
The Team reviewed all safety standards and operation of the rental of choice, along with local lake knowledge (aka - hidden hazards). Booking details were clear and pricing was on point, no hidden fee's to worry about.
Make sure you have your PCOC card on your person, as the authorities are checking on the water. Would definitely be using visiting the Skaha Lake Marina again and as they have a wide variety of rental options.
Thank you to everyone behind the scenes too, you have a fantastic operation and our families enjoyed every minute of both rental days!

First time on wake board proved to be nothing but Great Fun on a Super Aire Nautique with Justin as captain.
He was generous, super accommodating - and gracious! He even went all the way back to the marina to get a tube so our 5 year old could experience some (very safe) speed tubing...Wow!
We highly recommend it - and will most definitely do it again

Most accurate rating would be 4.5.
We reserved two kayaks and really enjoyed our experience.
The like-new kayaks were ready to go when we arrived. The only "but" to our experience was the waiver signing. There were three adults in our group and another group arrived for their rental just as we were trying to get the "paperwork" completed. Staff seemed somewhat distracted dealing with multiple parties.
The kayaking experience was excellent, including the launching and return. There were ample life jackets available and the value for money was very good.
We recommend and will return.

A good selection of water craft, including kayak and paddle board rentals. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Ran into a problem with the advertising for the craft we rented. As per the following advertisement copied from their page, I thought I had rented a boat with shade, which in this punishing heat, was critical for me. I also ordered a tube.
This feisty Bowrider packs a lot of fun in an easy to drive boat. Fits 9 and can tow a tube and wakeboard for even more fun! Ride in comfort on a hot day with a bimini for shade as well.
The boat we rented did not have a bimini shade and was told by management that none of the Bayliners have a bimini shade and that they would never advertise something they did not offer, contrary to what was clearly on their website. They did try and look for an umbrella for us, but as the whole process was eating into our boating time, we gave up on that. Needless to say, we did not get a tube either.

Rented the electric picnic boat from Skaha Lake Marina on the weekend.
We had a great experience - boat was clean and ready for us on time.
We were able to grab some snacks and drinks at the marina while loading up and had a very enjoyable few hours on the lake. Would recommend.
