this park is badly needed in New Westminster and each year it just keeps getting better and better as new park features are being added, there is areas to rest, take a nap and activities for the younger ones, great area to ride your bike or just take a walk, parking is easy and there is a number of small restaurants nearby

A nice little walk along the river. The view along river is great. There are benches along the route if you want to stop and enjoy the active river view while seated.

At long last, and minus the part at the extreme east end, this long narrow strip of waterfront has reopened to the public. It appears that locals are already aware of this, judging by the multitudes present this long sunny weekend. Out-of-town tourists should consider this site, not so much on its own, but in a suite with the walkway to the west, the wonderful gardens, and the small shopping centre for food and drink.
Bring your camera and enjoy the views - I'm a local and never tire of them.

Walk the length of this waterfront park as part of my weekly hike. I consider it merely an extension of the esplanade, which makes for a great 75 minute (brisk) walk. There are hammocks, volley ball courts, and basketball hoops, but rarely are they in use. Perhaps later in the day, but you would certainly have your choice on a weekday morning. If nothing else, enjoy views of the river and a closeup of the three bridges.

We visit the park several times a week. Its relaxing to sit on the grass and relax, grab a hot dog from the concession, push the kid on the swings, watch people play beach volleyball, chill on the urban beach, play under the sprayers, rest on the hammocks, and watch the tug boats go by...

this cost the tax payers of New Westminster $50,000,000, mostly due to the creosote in the logs and the clean up of toxic materials, looks nicer than what was there before, but a pier to land a wave runner or small boat so they could enjoy the great food at the pub would have been a nice addition.

The Westminster Pier Park is an amazing feat of design. The grassy knolls, hammocks, play areas provide a great setting for families with kids of all ages.

Locals enjoy this area for the children's play areas, but not much here for tourists. Consider it an extension of the Promenade area if you are walking or biking.

The Westminster Pier Park is a newly build park at the waterfront of eastern New Westminster downtown. It contains a lot of possibilities to relax like benches to sit or lay down, sport fields, a playground and a lot of green. It is also combining the relaxing part with education about the history of New Westminster. This area is a great extension of the New Westminster Quay. Since I am living close to it I am often enjoy walking there. After having built the connection from the 4th Street the park is easy to access. It’s a pity that it is not extended along the Fraser River further east.
