Front desk staff were all very helpful and willing to make sure our stay here was pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay here and will most likely will return. The Expo train line is right there at New West Minister station a short walk over to the hotel Nice and quite hotel never had an issue what so ever. Loved this hotel we can't say enough good things about the INN at the Quay

The hotel room was nice but be warned it only has a mini fridge. No microwave. The front staff were polite but definitely not loving their job. The rating was average as it was the worst water pressure I've ever had in any hotel anyway -that includes youth hostels in Europe in the 80s.
I reported it they said they sent someone but as I said the staff were passably polite. If you stay on the inner side facing the boat house and any drunk that goes by at three in the morning will wake you up as it echos.
Location is good as you're close to the pier Park which is kind of cool on the Fraser River but not sure if I'd stay there again. Yes the hotel is fine but the water pressure was so bad if you are thinking of taking a bath -don't bother.

The New Westminster Quay reminded me, in some ways, of Victoria’s Inner Harbour and Pier in that it’s difficult to distinguish from other attractions in the area, i.e.: the Esplanade and Boardwalk. No worries, though, because the Quay is an inclusive space: Here, you can experience the boardwalk, views of the mighty Fraser, New West’s signature hanging baskets, shops, eateries and a bit of history . . . all in one beautiful place.
Indeed, it’s nice to have a bit of a mental break during these challenging times. Walking along the boardwalk and reading the historical write-ups on the Fraser River transport you back to another time. Picture yourself in the 1860s, prepping to traverse the Fraser en route to the Cariboo – gold is calling! Okay, that’s an idealization, but it certainly speaks to the rich history of the area – the living history – and engages the mind.
After taking in the fresh air and sounds of the river, why not enjoy a bite to eat in the Boathouse, or procure something fresh at the nearby market? The Quay is an area full of possibilities. Now, take a moment and enjoy!

Between the lovely gardens and the action on the Fraser there’s I always something new to see. There is a board walk and many seating bays, benches to stop and watch the tugs, container ships and trains crossing the bridge. You can easily spend more than an hour just reading about the working Fraser on the placards along the walk.

The weekend that I went there were Vendors with their items nicely set out along the boardwalk. Beautiful weather and nice ambiance outside.
Inside the River Market plaza was a bit quiet. Not a lot of shops on ground floor. Second floor were rooms for a choir? And the circus training centre which was unique.

Nice walk by the river on the first dry day in a long time! A little windy and cool, but well worth it!

We occasionally walk the quay to view the shipping on the Fraser River. There is a huge variety including tugboats, fishing boats, river dredges and large vessels from all over the world (as well as our own paddle wheeler for tourists) as well, there are some very good restaurants there, offering a broad selection. A great place to walk on a sunny day!

Business
Business trip, been here three times. Room very clean, and comfortable. There is a small fridge in the TV stand, but if you ask for a microwave you can have one in your room. Nice place, close to the market and the view of the water is always relaxing, patio is also great to sit out on and enjoy the morning.
