We had a few free hours before our afternoon whale watching tour, so we decided to check out this park. It's a nice stroll with wonderful views of the water. There are also flowers, large trees and rock faces. The walk is relatively easy.

We went to Morningside Park which is next to Neck Point park. There is parking, and a short walk to the beach, which is rocky but nice. Definitely have to wear water shoes, because of the rocks. There is no outhouse but there is one...More

We only had an hour before heading to ferry but gave us lots of time to park and walk along very scenic path beside the ocean. There are a couple flights of steep steps but they only take you to higher views and more jaw...More

Easy one-hour walk to do the circuit. Detours and beach breaks are optional but sweet. My top recommendation for local walkers and visitors. Nice views.

We always enjoy our outings to Neck Point. The trails are interesting and depending on the time of year there various flowers to see. We have watched great blue heron fishing and otter foraging among the rocks.

Neck Point is one of Nanaimo's most beautiful ocean parks! It has gorgeous views and great hiking trails. The little Painted turtle pond is always a delight for young and old.

Almost don't want to review for fear more folks will go... Excellent shore-side park where one can regularly see seals from the shore and if you're lucky, may spot orca (killer whales), as we did. Wonderful sunsets!!

This park has wonderful trails and interesting little gnome homes all along the way. The kids absolutely loved finding all of them. Definitely a great place for a relaxing walk

One of our favourite haunts... great for a walk/ mini hike (depending on the route you take). Beautiful views of the water that never get old. We love popping down and taking pictures.

HI,there is a swimming/wading area, but it is very course, stoney beach. If you decide to test the water, or even walk on the beach, wear durable footwear.

I would say that there would be hundreds of people there everyday. Sometimes it's hard to find a parking spot.
