I took my dog for a leisurely walk along the beach and all around the point of Piper's Lagoon April 20, 2016. It was a perfect spring day warm and breezy and the tide was out all the way. On the beach we met 2 men with 2 Shelties who were the same age as my Golden Retriever...13 yrs. One... More

Pipers Lagoon can provide the space for many different leisure experiences! Swimming, kite flying, scrambling/boldering, photography, wildlife viewing, and meditation! You can take the easy path (access to most) or scramble over some rocks to hike out to the point. It's one of my favourite places in the city!

Easy to reach level walk along the shore with several benches to sit and contemplate the view. Watch the marine traffic and sea life from a beautiful spot.

Easy access with lots of parking, good trail out to point but from there it is more rugged. Nice beach with south-eastern exposure. Can be breezy. Lagoon is interesting and easy to walk around. Accessable by public transit, but requires walk of about 1/2 km to parking lot or trail through bush from Hammond Bay Rd. Can watch ferries, tugs,... More

Great place to go for a walk or a hike. There are many trails and most travel along the ocean. It is a wonderful place for children where they can beach comb for interesting driftwood and the trails are suitable for joggers. A real jewel.

The parking is terrible. One parking area is too commercial..looking like a Mall. The other has room for only about 6 vehicles tight together. But the scenery is beautiful with two small pools that the ocean creeps into. Lots of feathered wildlife. And a low island that has hiking trails that the old and very young can travel on. Good... This is always a favourite destination. I recently took a group of friends to this spot from the main land and they had no idea we had access to such scenic locations. Definitely worth the visit!

It is a good place to walk and adventure. However I found it sort of a smaller area. The trails are nice and well maintained. It's a nice place to spend an hour.
