About
We are a boutique winery in the beautiful, rural, Ellison area of North Kelowna. Located directly across from the Kelowna Airport, on land originally planted to grapes more than 60 years ago. We specialize in small lots of tasty wines. The wines are made entirely from grapes grown in our own vineyard and processed on-site in our European style winery. Come visit us and see a working winery in action. Taste the wines in our wineshop or bring a lunch and enjoy them by the glass in our picnic area, which boasts panoramic views of the valley.

Very enjoyable experience

A really enjoyable experience with fantastic wine. I don't like Rose normally but bought a whole case. The winery has beautiful gardens surrounding their outdoor patio. Their wine is very reasonably priced and really delicious, well worth visiting.

Nice Place, Great Wine, Hidden Gem

We are a family of two adults, two children (8 & 10 years old) and a dog. We were visiting Kelowna and decided to go Ancient Hill Estate Winery because we were hiking nearby and read they did allow our dog in their premises.
We did the wine testing and really liked them. We liked one particular one (Baco Pinot Noir) that we ended up buying two cases. It is really good.
The owners were very friendly and kind to all of us, including our dog. They showed us around and we had a great chat.
The place is beautiful too, with a nice patio area, which could be good for couples, families or anyone wanted to have a good time, and a good wine in the outdoors .

What a lovely winery with great views and character in the main wine shop. The owner is a lovely lady from Netherlands with an incredible story of how her and her husband got into the wine business 35 years ago at this property. Highly recommended if you want something unique and different. And their white wines and rose are incredible.

Poor experience, racist bartender

Absolutrly terrible experience with potentially racist bartender. We went in and was not greeted for 5 min as the lady behind the bar moved around getting bottles. We were finally acknowledged by a younger server, who led us to the tasting table. Upon completion, we went to buy a bottle, where the bartender once again chose to ignore us. When another man walked over, she acknowledged him, and asked if we were in line albeit we were there first.
Truly poor experience, and would avoid if you are Asian or want to be in the company of genuinely good people.

This was the first winery i visited in the valley and it was very much worth it! The ladies were super nice and also suggested other sightseeing places to visit. The wines were so good as well (my favorite was the Baco Noir). I wish i had time to spend in the patio and sip more wine but for sure would be on list next time

Everything I hope for in a winery

This is what a winery should be. Local. The owners grow and process their own grapes. Friendly. Not corporate. Lovely views of the valley. Not crowded.

It is not close to any other vineyard. For me that’s part of the charm.

It is true they are a smaller operation but their wines are very good.

Really happy we came here. Recommended.

Great Find near the Airport!

My husband and I stopped here for a wine tasting and a bit of lunch on their patio.
The lunch was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. On our way out we visited the gift shop and purchased some wine jellys which paired well with their excellent wine. We recommend a visit to Ancient Hills Winery.

Beautiful Scenery and Friendly Atmosphere

I decided to take my friends out to Ancient Hill for a tasting. We had a wonderful time looking at the beautiful scenery. The children enjoyed watching the planes take off at the airport while the adults were doing a tasting. All of the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely visit again.
