I walk the trail 3 times a week all year long. It is always well maintained, winter or summer. It has beautiful views and very frequently see deer, herons, and many other birds along the way.

This glorified sidewalk with direction arrows is good for walking, cycling, rollerblading and skateboarding. Scenic views of the North Thompson and stout nearby trees also lend interest and shade. Great place for a stroll or a ride!

This paved trail follows the river and is a delightful location for a walk or easy bike ride. There are also beaches, splash park, playground, tennis courts available along the route. In the evenings in the summer, there is also "Music in the Park" at...More

I’ve done the Kamloops River walk from Valleyview all the way to Westsyde and heartily recommend the walk. Except for 8 block section in Westsyde next to a busy road it is a beautiful and serene walk.

Very popular with locals as there are beaches, gardens, lots of benches to sit down and enjoy the scenic river, and a paved path for walking and biking.

It was brisk today, but a nice tour of the (very low) river was had! Maybe it’s the cooling weather, but we saw no evidence of any homeless population whatsoever. Maybe there was a thanksgiving dinner on this afternoon & they all went elsewhere, who...More

Very enjoyable bike ride on a well managed paved trail. Would like to see additional trail development north of the school that DOESN'T require biking on Westsyde Rd. Next have to do the trail going westbound.

Extremely scenic trail, perfect for strolls (romantic ones in the evening!) and for cycling. The Schubert Drive portion offers an incredible vista of Mt Paul and Mt Peter in the background of the North Thompson River. Waterfowl landing or taking off and the occasional canoeist...More

A pleasure to walk along this scenic trail. Picture postcard views of natural beauty and small wildlife like marmot and hare.

I finally took a walk on the North Shore portion and it was highly enjoyable. Paved and flat (of course) which makes for easy walking. Very scenic, even some wildlife (I saw a snake and a marmot). I'll return to take a much longer walk...More
