The one thing that Kamloops is lacking is a nice waterfront walk. Kudos to the city for trying, but the Rivers Trail is just not like what you'd find in Kelowna or West Vancouver. I never feel safe walking there, it doesn't feel or smell clean a lot of the time, and the views are not so great. Keep an... More

I am always looking for new art, animals or nature. Great walk by the river in Kamloops. Can go around McArthur Island, downtown from park your park or Schubert Drive. All is good. Relaxing & quite safe. Just have to share pathway with bicycles. Find this new art piece!!

This is a great cycle from town. Through Riverside Park and then over the bridge then a little bit on a quiet road and then a dedicated bike/pedestrian path running right alongside the river for about 7 kms each way. Very clean and tidy. Beaver dam under the road bridge. Good fun riding under the rail bridge if a train... More

This is just not a friendly place to walk...dog feces, children unsupervised and street people constantly approaching you...bad area of Kamloops

I've completed the trail pretty much! It's awesome along the river shore line.. You see lots of dogs and wonderful people greeting you.. It's a wonderful feeling when walking in this trail along with hearing to music

You can walk, run, or bike this 40 km trail system along the North and South Thompson River in multiple directions starting from the city centre. We walk the area from Riverside Park east along the South Thompson past Pioneer Park (dog friendly) and out to the Kamloops Yacht Club every time we visit the city. We have also biked... More

This trail brought me back to life! Biking the trail is rejuvenating and peaceful. There is nothing quite like a Rivers Trail sunset.

Walked this trail out by the airport. We ended up walking 14 km return! Lots of side trails to get down to the beach. Benches are all along the trail. Lots of dogs and people!
