Whether you come for the diverse ski terrain or for the variety of summer activities, Sun Peaks is a haven for recreational fun in a three-mountain alpine area. Located in the Interior of British Columbia, Sun Peaks boasts Canada’s second largest ski area with 4,270 acres of terrain. With 6 meters of light, dry snow falling annually and over 2,000 hours of sun each year, guests enjoy spectacular winter conditions for downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing. Off the slopes, more winter adventure awaits with dog-sledding tours, snowmobile and snowshoe tours, horse-drawn carriage rides and more. Summer at Sun Peaks offers just as much recreational fun. Sun Peaks is home to BC’s highest elevation golf course. Guests can explore the alpine with lift-access hiking and world-class mountain biking trails, with opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, Segway tours and horseback riding. Sun Peaks’ vibrant European-style village is nestled at the base of Tod Mountain, Sundance and Mt. Morrisey. The village offers a wide selection of accommodations, restaurants and shopping boutiques.

Our annual Family Day long weekend tradition has been to visit the Sun Peaks Ski Area. Over the weekend we can easily get our "fix" of X-country and downhill skiing, tobogganing, and snow shoeing. It's busy, but not overly so, and has always had good snow. The village is small, but has everything one needs for a long weekend (pubs,... More

This little alpine village has everything. Great restraunts, beautiful ski runs and high end hotels. There are lots of condos for rent and lots of parking. You can rent skidoo, skis, and just about anything else for winter sports. You will not be disappointed!

Great place to go and visit! Condo was close to village, friendly staff and great views of the mountain! The road to the hill was plowed and taken care of! Fun time!

Two families rented townhouse with full kitchen, 3 bedroom and hot-tub. Ski-in and ski-out (sort of) and walking distance to village. Very friendly, clean and well maintained units, family oriented ski-hill with lots of blue runs and just great overall atmosphere. However, not much cheaper than Whistler!

First the good - I have come up to Sun Peaks now 5 times in 10 years because it is a mountain that has varying levels of challenge, and even varying levels of snow conditions. You can find the snow and trail conditions you want whether it is January or March. There is very rarely a crowd so your time... More

After my first visit to Sun Peaks, I quickly ranked it in my top 3 Canadian ski experiences. We were very impressed with the quality of the slopes, lifts and amenities (except the rental lodge - read below). I'm already planning a return visit in the coming weeks to enjoy more of that champagne powder. The snow was perfect and... More

The snowboarding was great with plenty of variety but what was a surprise was the village. Loads of shops, bars and restaurants; it had a bit of a Whistler feel about it. We were there on a Saturday and bearly waited at all to get on any lifts despite the free car park being quite full.

If you are skiing in Kamloops this is the place to go. Lots of lifts and tonnes of runs on 2 mountains. Well set up and good food but I guess that is to be expected from Canada's second largest ski resort.
