Only 45 minutes from the city of Kamloops and it seems like a world away. Great skiing, lovely village.....quaint yet it has everything a great vacation calls for....spas, restaurants, and family activities. Love Sunpeaks!
Kinda don't want to let on what a great little ski resort this place is because one the great things about Sun Peaks is that it is not over crowded like so many other places. It has great snow and amenities without the line ups.
For such an amazing setting the pretty little town it's really not a draw. In spring and summer restaurants and stores are closed when people are wandering the walkway. $30 for 1 order of eggs benedict on a rainy outdoor porch covered in a blanket...More

Update on my earlier post. There is a new bus service from Vancouver that is called the EBus. It is likely more affordable than connecting flights for you. It leaves Vancouver from Pacific Station (need a cab from the airport ' goes to Sahali Mall in Kamloops. A shuttle can take you from there to Sun Peaks. The EBUS is $60.60 CDN per person one way. Hope that helps you a bit more. I still say the most efficient and least stressful way is the connecting flight. Have a great trip.
No places to rent outside the Resort Municipality of Sun Peaks. Kamloops (90,000 pop) is 45 minutes away. Yes, there is a shuttle bus daily, but it’s not a holiday when you travel on a bus for almost 2 hours per day! Many... More

Yes, there is a shuttle bus daily, but it’s not a holiday when you travel on a bus for almost 2 hours per day! Many accommodations from which to choose at Sun Peaks...cheaper pricing after the Christmas / New Years holiday season...very cold temperatures...excellent skiing conditions.
