Good hiking during this time of the year .Saw a deer on one of the ski runs . Always something going on from concerts for the family to bungy trampoline for the kids. Not that crazy but busy at different times of the day.

Whistler it is not! Sun Peaks is closer though, only about 45 minutes from Kamloops. I can't see Sun Peaks becoming a more international destination unless the roads are improved, among other things. It needs a bigger and safer route to get in and out quickly, especially in the winter when the winding road can get tricky. It's a great... More

We visited this resort area in the middle of summer, so there was no skiing involved. There are lots of other activities, however. We took a passive role with our ride up the chairlift being the most strenuous of our activity. This trip up the mountain was impressive for the views, which also included watching the younger folks roar down... More

Pulled the Rv to sunpeaks...parking lot camping with NO services, not even water. Fortunately maintenance helped us get water..thanks Dave. Mountain cross carts fun and the pub had cold beer and appy...set up at sun peaks is why I rated a 3 but camping? Is a one. Also no mountain bike riding for seniors or younger families ..a good bike... More

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your camping experience at Sun Peaks. Due to the construction of our new ice rink we have had to move the camping area from its traditional spot, meaning that it is now a bit further away from amenities such as water and showers. This is... More

Family-friendly, dog-friendly. Aside from a few weeks in the spring and fall shoulder seasons, the village is open for business. Good variety of lodgings and restaurants. Hiking and mountain biking trails for all abilities. Good variety of ski terrain. Typically short lift lines and dry snow.

Recently spent 5 days/4 nights here. To be fair we didn't spend a lot of daytime here but used one of the hotels as a base for a commute to East Barriere Lake each day. The area is trying a little too hard to be like Whistler and not succeeding. The first day we spent in the Sun Peaks Village... More
