The centre is comprised of 5 or 6 little buildings all extended out into the bay. Each contains fun and interesting artifacts of boating history for the area. Its creative design will attract even those who have less interest in boating. Plus it's located in the Cowichan Bay Marina so there's lots to look at.

A small waterfront museum with lovingly made small boats and a functioning workshop. Kids like the walk through and pier and they enjoy making their own small boats along the way. By donation only but well worth donating to defray maintenance and upkeep.

This center (US spelling) contains numerous buildings on a pier going into the bay. Exhibits include sailing memorabilia, outboard motors, marine artifacts and wonderful replica model boats. Kids can make their own boat from wood. Very fun and well worth a visit.

Stumbled on this place while wondering around Cowichan Bay and my goodness, it is a top notch display of boats from the past. Everything so well laid out, good signage, amazing location at the end of a dock. So appropriate. You will want to take your guests here, even those who are not boat lovers will find it interesting.

After years of visiting Cowichan bay for the bakery and deli and amazing little curio shops we finally strolled a little further down the road and found this lovely maritime museum. The hand made replica sail boats were fascinating to see and the walk along the old wooden pier was a walk through maritime history from the early days of... More

We visited here with our daughter, husband and grandchildren 10 and 8 years old. They enjoyed building toy boats with the wood provided and took them home back to England. The displayed Canoes and Kayaks were beautifully made and the old Pulley systems of great interest.

This is a volunteer run museum containing interesting artifacts of the life of the Cowichan Bay area with regard to marine activities. Admission by donation. Love the fact that they provide opportunities for children to build a small boat and experience the fun of creating. Some amazing craftsmanship, especially in the far building. If you get hungry, just visit the... More
