I admit it, my husband and I have fallen under the spell of the Yukon. We've driven the Alaska Highway and visited Dawson over twenty times. For the past two years the theater has been closed for repairs but I have great memories. Parks Canada has done some very good tours with the guides dressed in Gold Rush attire. The inside of the theater is opulent with a painting of Arizona Charlie (who built the original in 1899) on the wall and a bar on the opposing wall. The theater itself is opulent with red curtains. We saw Parks Canada guides impersonate famous characters of the Gold Rush era on the stage. We saw the balcony with its private boxes and the red dressing room. What an experience. Another year we saw the display of the gowns worn by the present residents to a gala. A beautiful venue. Looking forward to our next visit.

I took the Parks Canada tour at the Palace Grand Theatre and was not disappointed. The tour was filled with fascinating facts about the history of the theatre as well as Dawson City.

Have attended a couple of shows in here. Love the old time ambience. When the lights go down, you can really imagine taking in a show in the 1900s. Check in with the Klondike Visitors Centre for times of shows….during Music Fest weekend the musicians use it for individual shows, and try and catch the Fiddleheads Show. I also believe the Palace Grand is part of the Walking Tour….and it was used for an episode of "Murdoch Mysteries".

This is a beautifully restored theatre from 1900 all made of wood. It has the feel of old time vaudeville and hows from the turn of the 20th century.

Beautiful timepiece set in the gold rush era! The riches of the time of this building are astounding. It’s like being in a mini New York. One can only imagine the fun that was had.

We went to the matinee depicting 3 founding characters of the gold rush and whom was most influential. Lots of fun.

Great entertainment and a cool place to visit. M

Was out for a walk and just popped in to take a look. Interesting to read articles about the writer and history of the area. Didn't take very long. Had a lovely conversation with the attendant lady and that was most enjoyable.

A fascinating historical building straight out of the gold rush era. Well preserved essentially in its original state. Great acoustic.

Stage show right out of the 1800's. Had a ball. Highly recommended. The casino is pretty laid back with slots and a few card tables.
