Interesting visit to the museum over the history a bit more then 100 years ago. What I found very interesting was the railroad, wich eventually did not come. The old steam locomotives are impressive to see. It was worth the effort.

The tour was interesting and very informative. Liked the film in the theatre. The raven quilt was beautiful. Liked the little displays set up, the trappers cabin, the piano, the bike, the parlour. Upstairs, the court house was neat, the displays and info in the...More

Best place to learn more about the geological history of the area, apart from all the fun mementos of the Gold Rush times. If time allows, watch the documentary in the theatre.

Lots of history crammed in here - a highlight for me was the 'un-curated' section upstairs which really offers a glimpse into the day-to-day / ordinary lives from years gone past

We stopped by the Dawson City Museum and learned a great deal about the history of Dawson City and its resident and pioneers. You also have the ability to visit the train collection next door. Worth to spend a couple of hours there.

We found the museum well done and very interesting. The train shed next door is worth seeing, but it is guided only so look for the times in the lobby.

This was a great way to spend an hour to an hour and a half. This gives you a great understanding of the region and then how everything changed with the Klondike Gold Rush. From Mercantile to postal delivery banking and other things.
