What a challenge it was to drive up here. On our way, we have seen at least 1 sedan, 2 SUV's stuck. It was a wee bit scary but we pushed through until we reached the top and back. I wonder why they are not maintaining the road? Is it because it is logging area? Who knows? The lake was nice even though the sun did not come out. We had breakfast, took pictures and left.

Usually a good experience; great fishing and kayaking. Unfortunately 2020 is the year of the Black Bear. The one wandering through the camp ground was not scared of people.

Sorry but don't waste your time or vehicle to visit or camp at this lake. It is the most disgusting place we have been to. Everyone has left their garbage in the forest, in the lake at on the roadway and on the shore. They have made the forest floor their personal toilet with used toilet paper and feces everywhere among the trees and the forest. The whole trip was depressing. Don't know what is wrong with people but maybe they should stay home if they can't respect nature. Such a shame.

you want to get away from it all and enjoy what we have left of this summer????? Take my advise and take in JONES LAKE!!! The drive up is breathtaking but what greets you is beyond words!!!! If you love nature in all it's PRISTINE then this is the area for you....small little campsites set along the waters edge, no busy body neighbors to disrupt your tranquility, if you fish it's a challenge but even if you don't catch anything it's so beautiful that you don't mind...the only bad thing i can say about it is that if you have to work, leaving is really the hardest thing to do!!! YOU DON'T WANT TO!!!! It's that beautiful!!! Mind you the winters are extremely cold up there but if i could i would stay there forever!!! Just saying!
