We booked a Family Field Trip this summer - the two adults and our 12 yr old. It was incredible having our own interpreter taking us out on the trails to see and learn about a topic of our choosing (from 3 - we choose bugs). To have that kind of one on one learning was so fun and unique - it truly then became catered to our interests. Our 12 year old doesn't like most things but she really enjoyed this hour and we have been excited to take our learnings and apply them to our trees and garden in our backyard! It was only $25 for the visit which was incredible value!

Everyone will enjoy a stop at the Nature Centre - whether you are looking for a quiet and relaxing experience on the trails around the centre, watching trains go across the high level bridge from the rooftop garden, or learning about the animals and plants and other interesting information about this region, this is a must see for all ages!

We were visiting the area with our 2 kids ages 6 and 1 and stopped in to check out the centre. As a nature lover, we have been to lots of nature centres around North America. This one is one of the best we have seen. Fabulous facility staffed by very friendly and knowledgeable people who are a delight to chat with. Our 6 year old participated in the morning camp for 2 hours. He loved the instructors, activities and staff. Outside there are lots of well maintained trails accessible by strollers. Paths are easy to navigate and well marked. Cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience here!

Spent a few relaxing hours educating myself about the area and history. Neat roof top patio, nice little nature walks, bathrooms, Views of the trestle train bridge. Watched a long train go by.

Nice setting and offers many information sessions relevant to the area. Something for all ages. A local naturalist offered the session we attended and it was very informative.
