We were nervous about meeting bears and lacked transport, so we decided to do a guided walk with Paula of Walks and Talks, Jasper. We were the only people on the hike that day, Paula picked us spot on time, passed close by a Grizzly Bear in her car, warned us about the female elk, and then took us on... More

I had an exceptional experience of Paula's guided hiking on a recent trip to Jasper with my family. We are from England so had little experience of hiking in The Rockies but being keen hikers in Europe we were eager to get into the mountains in Canada, though at the same time a little apprehensive about the wildlife we might... Paola was well prepared and knew where to go for best conditions. We had a great time. Paola is very friendly and knowledgeable about Jasper. She was willing to take a small group of two people.

We decided to do this to find out more info on the area and enjoy the hike. This way we don't worry about wildlife and see and hear all there is to see and hear. Paula knows her stuff! The photos she brought were neat to see, maybe need fresh ones but who cares. It was a great way to... More

We did the Maligne Canyon walk with stops at its lake and also at Medicine Lake. Paula, the guide is very intelligent and gave us informetion about the fauna and the flora. Is the type of field trip for people who does not like to do what everybody is doing.

Walking up Wilcox Pass to view the Columbia Ice Field was spectacular. The scenery from the roads on the drive from Jasper was phenomenal. Paula's knowledge of the area was really informative and up to date. The day we had originally booked to go was very wet and so Paula offered to swop to the following day due to a... More

Had a great hike with Paula around Mt Edith Cavell. Paula was a very knowledgeable and informative guide. I was a little sceptical about whether paying for a guide for a not-particularly-challenging hike that anyone could easily do without a guide would really be worth it. In fact, Paula's local insight and knowledge of plants, wildlife and the local ecology... More

We had such an enjoyable experience walking with Paula to the Mt Edith Cavell meadows. Good pace, good knowledge, good fun. Paula took four of us on the 8km hike, pointing out lots of interesting flora and fauna along the way. Had a lovely picnic at the summit before making our descent. Thoroughly recommended.
