Seeing the trains of Canada is very interesting especially when it's moving with so many wagons passing a town or even through a tunnel crossing the mountain. For the people who like trains, it's a nice place to walk around. There is an old locomotive along the road, in the centre of Jasper.

We were getting the train so had a good look round. Not much here but visit if you are going past. Much is closed up unless there is a passenger train due.

Pleasant building for a station in the heart of Jasper township. Easy walk to the shops if you have a short stop from the train.

Only a few passenger trains pass through here each week. The staff, on the whole, were friendly and the station is small and well-kept.

Lovely little station, staff were so friendly especially the Rocky mountaineer staff. Grizzly exhibition on show to raise awareness of accidents. Pleased to see it’s survived the recent fires

Popped in here whilst taking a walk around the town centre. A great display of old trains outside, including one of the original Rocky Mountaineer . The inside of the station is beautiful , made of wood to a heritage design, There is also a small shop and tourist information here as well as old railway photo. A nice spot to have a look around

This railway station has been a key part of Jasper for more than a century. It is in the main part of town and there are a lot of eateries and shops within a short walk from here.
The station has plenty of seating in the waiting area and there is free wifi, drinking water and clean toilets.

We had to change trains at Jasper on our trip by VIA Rail from Vancouver to Prince Rupert. After boarding ‘The Canadian’ at Vancouver we arrived at Jasper the next morning and alighted at Jasper Station. We had to stay one night at a Jasper hotel and come back the next morning to catch ‘The Skeena’ which travels to Prince Rupert on the north western coast of Canada.
Jasper Station is housed in a beautiful heritage structure which was reconstructed after a fire burned it down almost 95 years ago. It is managed by the Canadian National Railway. Both VIA Rail and The Rocky Mountaineer use the station as transit points for their tourist trains.
There is a large high ceiling-ed waiting hall cum lounge where passengers can relax till their trains arrive. Heavy suitcases can be weighed at the check-in baggage counter next to the VIA Rail enquiry counter. Free tourist literature about the Rocky Mountains and the rest of western Canada can be picked up from the racks. Complimentary tea and coffee with cookies is available, and there are clean restrooms. There is a restaurant, coffee and gift shop in the annex. There is a large parking lot in the building compound. Services of tourist buses and taxis can be availed at the kiosks within the station.
The station is within a short walking distance from downtown Jasper and the shopping boulevard is just across the road. One can easily walk across to a regular restaurant while 'The Canadian' stops at Jasper for its onward journey to Toronto.
