We decided to keep our scheduled trail ride even though it was a wet day. They totally outfitted us with helmets, slickers and gloves. Our guide was great and chatty. She stopped us a few times to check saddles and change the order of the horses to help calm down my husbands horse. I loved it.

We decided last minute to try horseback riding as a reprieve from hiking. Our guide Franz was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We took a two hour ride around Lake Patricia and up into the mountains for some gorgeous views down to the Athabasca Valley.

Decided at the last minute to do this and signed up for the 2 hr. ride. Turned out to be one of the best trail rides I've been on as the trail went along the ridges looking down on the valley. Just beautiful. Only three of us with our guide who gave great commentary throughout the ride. The second half... More

An excellent morning ride through the forest with an extremely friendly knowledgable guide. Lovely well mannered horses. Would recommend an early morning ride to avoid the heat .

We stumbled upon the ranch called Rockin' K and discovered a large ranch that houses 70 horses. The cost of a 1-hour ride for beginners, including teen children was very reasonable, roughly 1/2 the cost in lake Louise. We were led by Jackie, a seasoned guide and nature lover, on a beautiful mountain trail that overlooks the lakes north of... More

Hi All you trip advisors and others. Rockin K is owned by Sara and kable who also own Tonquin Valley Backccountry Lodge and this is really a plug for the fabulous 5 day trip into the spectacular Tonquin Valley. Check out both their web sites to see pictures of the fabulous scenery. I did a lot of riding up on... More

OK for beginners who haven't ridden a horse before. Horses were well trained and we barely had to touch the reigns. All single-file trail gave little opportunity to control where the horses walked, so we just sat back for the ride. Trails could be more exciting; lots of walking through the bush. For example, it would have been nice to... More

This was the best trail riding adventure I have had to date, and I have been on many. The horses were very high quality, the guides were enthusiastic and friendly, the lunch we were given was great. I would choose Rockin K stables over any in riding stable in Jasper, they put together a fantastic ride! Huge recommendation from me!
