What an incredible place to snowboard. If the hill is busy, I board at the knob and it's brilliant. When it's not quite so busy or the start of a day, I take my time through Hobbits Hollow. What brilliant powder, and the space between skiers is (usually) exceptional. Love the views, love the powder, love this place! While the... More

Come in the Winter , Stay at the Fairmont and take the bus to the hill every morning. It is a spectacular park. The vertical drop is pretty good compared to other around and it really is close to town and the food is great. I even drive up the road in the Summer and always see Black Bears and... More

Marmot is an okay hill. A little something for everyone. If you're newer to skiing or medium level, it's more than you need. Great place to learn! If you're pretty proficient, you'll be wanting a bigger hill. I rented gear out of Edmonton for the day and it worked out well. It is a LONG day from Edmonton - Jasper... More

Sad I will be moving from the rockies so I won't get to snowboard here this season :( Marmot is a great place to ski and snowboard for all levels. I learnt here just last season and the School House run is a great place to learn! Enough space and length with a good enough slope to get feel for... More

It was my first visit and only second time skiing. The staff at the ski hill were really knowledgable and gave me plenty of confidence during the 1 hr lesson. Had lots of fun on the green runs. Their lodge offered spectacular scenic views of the mountains. Food was good after a day on the slopes.

Marmot Basin is a great ski hill for all ages and experience levels. Beautiful scenery is the cherry on the ice cream as you are right in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Staff is friendly although service is lacking in both restaurants.

About a 30 min drive from town, up a winding road. Lots of lifts running, no lines, free parking hillside.

The runs were showing signs of spring but the slope was still enjoyable. As always the staff are amazing.

This review is for the staff. The staff at Marmot Basin are a real hit and miss. We walked into the rentals area and they were mainly hanging around chatting rather than helping customers. There were a couple of really helpful girls - especially one young Aussie girl on the boots, and another on the tills who helped apply a... More
