We went in June 2019 and booked a rather expensive adventure ticket to go on the Athabasca Glacier, the exhibit and on a tour to the skywalk. Every penny worth it! It's a once in a lifetime experience, to actually be on a Glacier, to see the views, also the views and animal

if you are afraid of heights do not pay. there is absolutely nothing more to see on this scary glass bottom extended balcony. I had to stay with my son who refused to walk on it.

Hi MCan72. Thank you for taking the time to review the Skywalk. I am terribly sorry to see that you did not enjoy your visit to the Skywalk. The Skywalk is designed to be more than just a glass bottomed balcony. We accomplish this by creating an interpretive environment where guests can learn all about the Canadian Rockies, and the Columbia Icefield area. We have audio tours, interpretive guides, and plenty of signage along the 800m boardwalk that helps to give this information. We also have a concrete by-pass for any guests that are not able to walk across the glass for any reason. I certainly hope that during your visit you were able to enjoy some of our interpretive information. If not, I really hope you choose to visit the Skywalk again so we can work to better meet and exceed your expectations. Sincerely, Matthew Laitinen Programming and Experience Manager Columbia Icefield
