    Worth the drive from Jasper
After a long day of exploring Jasper, we made the hour long drive to Miette Hot Springs in the evening. We arrived around 6 PM, which was intentional as we wanted to avoid a large crowd. There were plenty of people, but it was far from being crowded, so our plan worked. Even better was that it got very cool and a light rain began falling, which made the soak in the warm water that much better. There are two big hot pools and three other smaller pools with various colder water. The temperature of the water was warm but not hot, but this enabled to soak longer without getting overheated. We definitely enjoyed Miette Hot Springs much more than the Banff Upper Hot Springs. It was larger, roomier and more options. Plenty of parking at the location, and you can even drop off or pick up people in the circular driveway directly in front of the entrance. There was a souvenir shop and a cafe on site, but we didn't try them out. It's definitely worth it!

    less than stellar but cool.
The short walk to the source of the spring makes it a little cooler, so definitely do that, The wait was really long to get in, like over an hour because they didn't have enough life guards, but that probably made the experience inside better because it was less crowded. Those who enjoy hot AND cold pools will enjoy it much more. Overall worth it for the experience but maybe only once.

    Mountain Beauty
We took the road to the Hot Springs and drove until the road ended and there in all its beauty was the Hot Springs. The employees were very helpful and friendly, the place was clean and the views were beyond beautiful! I wish we could have stayed longer!!

Beautiful scenery with a hot relaxing soak.
Beautiful view of the mountains on a nice clear day. Perfect for relaxing and soaking sore muscles after a long hike. The two main hot pools are not that large and can get crowded easily at peak times. A shallow kids area is available for young children along with life jackets (PFDs) for them to wear. To get the full effect, you have to try dunking yourself into the one of the two cold pools for a couple minutes before heading back to the hot pools. If you have never seen them before, I also highly recommend walking over to the OLD hot springs building - trailhead for this is at the far end of the parking lot. An easy to moderate walk back in time.

We were staying in Banff and decided to drive here after visiting Maligne Canyon. It's about an hour drive, but the scenery is beautiful and we saw elk and bears on the way! The process for paying to get in (and, in our case, renting towels) is easy to figure out. There are separate mens and womens locker rooms and you get a locker with your entry fee. The two pools (one is deeper and a bit hotter) were both extremely enjoyable, and we loved that the pool was not super crowded. I also appreciated that there were plenty of staff lifeguards keeping an eye on everyone in the hot and cold pools. This was a great, relaxing experience that I would highly recommend if you have the time!

This was a great thing to do at the end of a hiking day. We took our own swimsuits and towels though you can rent both for a small extra charge.
There are four pools from cold to hot and it’s great to rotate between them. Staff were friendly and my only gripe was that the cafe was shut but that wasn’t super clear on the website. Wish I’d taken a book too!

The hot springs are a 62km drive from Jasper, so by the time we arrived we felt committed to go. We were greeted by a HUGE queue. Someone told us it would be about 40 minutes but it took us nearly 90. We’d never have stayed if we’d realised it would take that long. The changing rooms were not clean but the pools seemed ok. The hot water was great for my aching legs and the views as you bathe are wonderful. When we left the queue was even longer than when we’d arrived. I wish there was a way of checking the wait times before leaving,

There are 4 different pools, with 4 temperatures. Everybody can find something suitable. The lifeguards were alert all the times. Historical information indoor is presenting well the past of the springs. We really enjoyed the visit

The change room floors were gross...hair and dirt covered the walk to the change rooms. The springs itself haven't changed since the 90's except the water was absolutely disgusting. Bugs, white floaties and hair floated in the pool as I sat. 5mins and I was done. I would not recommend going up there. Good thing it was only $15 for my son and I...he refused to go the pool. Very disappointed 😞

I stayed at this "resort" for two nights. The location was great because it was a short walk to the hot springs, this is ideal if you plan on going numerous times to the hot springs within a given day. My experience with the resort is as follows: Upon opening my door, one could quickly smell that there was gas leak in my room. Luckily the handy man wasn't far and was able to try to fix it. We thought that he had taken care of the problem and had tried to air out the room. In the middle of the night I had woken up to a strong gas smell again. I didn't know if it was back or if I was just crazy. My aunt and grandmother were in the room beside me, and my mother and family were renting a separate cabin. When they stopped by the next morning they couldn't believe how strong the smell was again. The handy man was around outside so after complaints to the owners, he once again came in to fix it. What was surprising is that he wasn't at all surprised. We thought the matter had been taken care of. Late the same afternoon I thought the smell of gas was stronger again but wasn't sure so I had my aunt come by, she agreed with my assessment and suggested that I go back to the front desk again. This time an older fellow came to the room (owner of the resort). He basically told me that I was wrong, there was no gas smell and that it was not his problem. He told me that he would turn off the stove but basically it was all in my head. This of course was infuriating. Even if he thought that he couldn't smell anything, he handled it in a terrible manner, especially given that the occupants of the room included a pregnant woman and her toddler. The room occupied by my grandmother and aunt didn't have a gas problem, it had a heating problem. The heater was on overdrive and the handy man couldn't fix it, so it meant that these two woman had to sleep with both of their windows open. The cabin the rest of my family was renting seemed functional other than it was very dark and dingy, had a small fridge (even though the place sleeps five), and the kitchen tap had a bad drip.

Needless to say, I would never stay here again. Even if I went to the hotsprings a couple of times in the same day, it would be worth the 10 minute drive to stay in a safe, clean and comfortable place. I was shocked at the treatment that I received. It was like there had been no history of a gas problem and I was just a hysterical pregnant woman. Very insulting.
