It was a short walk from the resort to the falls, If you are staying at Sunwapta resort, definitely give this a try, we took a few pictures and they turned amazing.

Short walk from the small parking lot for views of the falls. Walk down the short trail to the small bridge for pics. There is a few picnic tables to sit.

Just OK by the Rockies standard, but would have been a 4-star sight in other context. The Rockies are just so full of beautiful lakes, rivers, waterfalls and rock formations that this appears a little too ordinary in comparison.

When driving in Jasper National Park, stick to the speed limits. We saw radar guns and RCMP pulling cars over. Not a pleasant feeling for a visitor to encounter. The Falls and canyon do warrant a stop though. Don't just drive through and miss this little beauty.

In our opinion, these falls are better than those at Athabasca and, for some reason, the coach tours seem to avoid stopping here. Consequently, the experience is much calmer and it is possible to really enjoy the rushing waters. We did the 1.6 kilometre hike through the woods to the lower falls and it was well worth the effort. The upper fall is very closed to parking lot but you should also go to lower. The lower falls are a series of three water falls. It is worth to walk few km to visit.

It took a 5 mins from the parking lot... This is just for the top of the falls... There is a trail that goes to the bottem of the falls ...

You can drive in very close to the Sunwapta Falls, so access is very easy for everyone. The falls themselves are good but after having just come from Athabasca they were not quite as impressive. We didn't do any further hiking so it's entirely possible there were better views elsewhere in the canyon.

Couldn't miss this so close to the lodge of the same name. It had started to snow overnight so the air was clear and fresh. These falls are a mighty work of nature - brilliant to view and listen to the sound of the water. Not to be missed.....

Absolutely amazing views of a very powerful waterfall. Lots of space to view the falls from different angles.
