Save your money. Across the street from the interpretive centre that sells these tours, there's a nice view of the Athabasca glacier that you can go to for free rather than pay $65 each to stand on some dirty snow where you can barely see the blue of the glacier. I didn't do the SkyWalk, but I would think it's... More

We had been advised to visit here and we were not disappointed. Sounds simple to just walk on a bit of snow but don't be fooled. You are stepping onto a piece of history. The staff are fantastic and very knowledgeable. From start to finish this was amazing. You are initially driven to board an "ice bus" and are then... More

The Columbia Icefields Adventure tour was fabulous. The staff at the centre are super firendly and helpful. The bus driver to the Ice Trekker stop was very knowledgable and funny. The Ice Trekker driver and guide out to the Glacier was like wise knowledgable and funny. Brewster has chosen their staff well. The Glacier was magnificient to see even in... More

I took my fiancé on the tour glacier tour on the Athabaska glacier. I had already been on the tour before, so I knew what to expect. The price was still pretty high, so I am not sure that I would ever suggest a repeat of the trip. We went in the first week of their new season, so it... More

We did the Columbia Icefield with Brewster and it was the first day of the season for them. All though the views were amazing still this would definitely be better in the summer. Right now there is still too much snow and you can't really see the ice. Norammly you would be driving on the ice but since there was... More

Ride in Brewster's huge $1 million Ice Explorer all-terrain snow coaches up the moraine path along side the Athabasca Glacier. Get out for 20 minutes to walk on the glacier and taste pure glacial melt. (Don't wear slippery footwear.) Take look at a tiny portion of the Columbia Icefield, which feeds the glacier from above. This is as up close... More

At first, I was a not sure whether to go on the tour or not due to the adverse weather condition but decided to do it at the end. The experience was incredibly amazing. Size of the transpotter, phew, wow. On the other hand, the driver/commentator, Sandra, a very young, petit girl operating that huge mass of a bus. Very... More

Stopped at the Columbia Icefields on the way from Banff to Jasper. It is worth a stop especially if you haven't seen a glacier before. Tour is a little pricey.

Well this is one of those things that I rec you do mostly because it is unique. The trip consists of a stop at the large building where there are several choices of food places, souvenirs and plenty of outside decks to view the glacier and area. Then you load into the enormous ice cat vehicles (not something you see... More
