The place is good inside and especially outside ... right in front of Columbia ice-field.. 15-20 min of walking. I would rate it 5 stars if..... It's extremely over-populated by tourists... like ski-station in high season time. No place to seat, to way to see...More

Between Jasper and Banff, there are many many many more beautiful things to do than waste your money on the "Glacier Adventure and Skywalk". Go to Athabasca Falls, Sunwapta Falls and Bow Lake. The bus driver made the trip somewhat worth while by explaining the...More

The centre is the starting point for the glacier tours and bus tour to the glacier ice walk. Advice: take the tours as early as possible, within a short time the place is taken over by thousands, mainly Asian tourists.

This visitor center is very large to accommodate all the tour groups and buses that come through the Icefields Parkway. It was very crowded when we were there, as many guided tours and activities leave from/meet at the center. Beautiful view of the Athabasca Glacier,...More

Took the glacier tour which was well worth it and included the glacier skywalk. glacier very slippery so wear closed shoes. For me it was enough time spent at the glacier. Glacier skywalk too many people to enjoy the area.

I didn't think that expecting to find a good hot chocolate at a place right in front of a glacier would be too much to ask. But for my disappointment no good hot chocolate is served here (although pricey).

Hi! We're just travellers, and not with the company. Their web site is a bit confusing, so it might be best to call them: 1 866 606 6700. We've had an awful lot of snow of late, so while the Banff / Jasper Highway would... More

Hi, we have planned a trip to Calgary and staying in a vacation home, we have a car rental for the week. We plan to go Banff, Lake Lousie and up to Columbia Icefield and visit some of the sites along the Icefields Parkway (highway 93). We will have to return the same day back to Calgary. We know it will be a long day. We will leave early 6:00 AM. Do you think it would be better to drive straight to Columbia ice field and then enjoy the sites on the way back, or stop at some of the sites on the way and just get to Icefield when we get there before closing time. What do you think estimated day will be and being able to enjoy what there is to stop and see along the way. I know there will be plenty of traffic. If we didn't have a home rented we could drive one day and stay and come back the next. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
