The Itchiku Kubota exhibit was stunning.
First time this exhibit has been in western Canada!
If you enjoy textiles on any level - you will definitely appreciate this.

I went to the Montrose Cultural Centre in Grande Prairie during Alberta Culture Days. Along with the Public Library, the Art Gallery is a major component of the facility. And it is an amazing art gallery, one of the nicest in the Province. There were several collections on display and it was nice to see so many children at the Gallery's family space actively involved.

We were disappointed that the permanent collection was closed, although the other exhibits were interesting.

Kudos to Grande Prairie for such beautiful gallery, great exhibitions (changes every three months), wonderful location (next to the library and coffee shop) and it is free for everyone to enjoy. Reception was very friendly and knowledgeable. Sufficient written information about the artist and art work are provided. Exhibits are pretty well laid out, not overwhelming. Gone there several times and was never disappointed.

If you have done any traveling you would not take our gallery for granted. There are many places much larger that do not have anything close!

Grande Prairie is very fortunate to have an art gallery this spectacular! It is an exceptional facility with individual galleries for display of a variety of exhibits. There have been numerous successful exhibitions since the gallery opened in its current format, and it truly is a must see whether a visitor to our city, or a resident looking for something new and exciting to see and do!

This gallery is one of the better ones I have visited. Great layout and showcases many local and national artists. With a constant change in featured artists I recommend a visit once a month.

I like to visit the Art Gallery at a minimum of once a month. Their exhibits are fantastic, such a great variety and interesting to people of all ages. Even my young grand daughter enjoys going with me but of course I must take a private tour in order to spend as much time as needed. The Green Room is an excellent place to spend an hour or two by yourself or with children. Materials are available to artistically explore your own talents and children love manipulating various media and either taking their "art" home with them or leaving it behind on the community walls. Great, friendly staff at the reception desk and often in the green room and other areas. I also enjoy taking in a program now and then. Grande Prairie is so fortunate to have this lovely place to visit.

Small town, small museum not in Grande Prairie. My husband and I were very impress about the space and the quality of the exhibition. Admission is Free. The visit could be done in about an hour. DON'T miss it!

Hola! Wondering how we get from the airport to the resort? We have transfers with our package, but I just looked at a map and the airport is across the water from the resort... How does the transfer vehicle get us to the resort and how long does it take? Gracious!
