We recently stayed 2 nights at Sask Island PP and found it a great place to stay while exploring Grand Prairie. It is only 5 km from the Philip Currie Dinosaur Museum and only 15km from GP. There are plenty of nice sites with power and very good hiking paths which lead out to excellent bird and wildlife viewing areas.... More

Campgrounds these days seem to provide more spaces and less privacy. I guess they feel that RV's provide enough of that if you sit inside. Thankfully, this is NOT one of those places. There is lush greenery all over, lots and lots of natural bush and prairie style forest between the individual sites. You can sit and have a fire... More

20 kms from Grande Prairie. There are different campsites, group camping, some with power. There is fire wood. Saskatoon berries aplenty. Nice trails around the lake. There are group campsites in the day use area. This is very clean and a great place for a picnic. It is monitored by park officers. Highly recommend.

Great place to camp or even visit for the day, there are many trails to walk on, a beach with volley ball set up, a large playground for kids (I'm even jealous), theater and many more!

I was pleasantly surprised by this little campsite. The weather wasn't warm but the site was well kept without being micromanaged. The flying insects were swarming by the lakeshore but non-existent where the sites are set up. There was a fire ban on but that couldn't be helped. I discovered several well-maintained walking trails that go out onto a peninsula... More

Relatively quiet campground. Well maintained. Cleaner than most campgrounds around Grande Prairie. Shallow large pond (not quite a lake).

Saskatoon picking is great! Taste good and is fun! Can have family parties or large get together a as they have a place for it. Day areas as well as good camping spots! Free wood when your staying there. Was good prices. Showers cost $1 per min or so so bring change. No issues here for a good area for... More
