My group has done over 12 escape rooms collectively. We enjoyed EEscape though it isn't as immersive or as professionally done as other companies. Still, the staff is friendly and helpful, the puzzles are challenging and we had to work pretty hard in some spots to advance. The rooms are fairly linear and logical which we like.

This is a fun company with neat ideas, and I'd like to see them continue on so I hope they are able to make their rooms more immersive and maintain their props, clues and rooms in order to keep the experience smooth. We will be back!

We chose the hardest one to accommodate the group of 8 teachers for a staff team building event. Some challenges were not too bad, others were pretty hard. We got stuck on a directional lock.

Me and my two sisters did SAMARA, it was late at night and we went in and he fit us in right away.
The Place:The guy working there was super friendly, the place look clean.
The room: It was great the puzzles were fun and some were harder then other it was a good combo. Also scarry we all screamed at one point but mostly for no reason but being chickens. It was one of the best room I have done and I would like to do the others the Eescape offers.

My adventure started when my boyfriend came back home telling me he had booked a night at the escape room for us two plus 6 friends .(8 total)
Reading the reviews online about this location scared me because so many said that this location was so crappy compared to the other ones and that it looked outdated and old and not taking care of.
I went there with no expectation (I always do that and I can never be deceived)
We picked a medium room (Held Hostage).
It was amazing. Way way harder than we thought, the décor was old and gross and NEEDED to be like that . It is totally part of the décor/scenery. We loved every second of it.
We had 45 minutes to save someone held hostage. We were allowed to two clues in case we couldn't find anything. We were 8 and used them both and almost made it to the end yet we didn't.
Would totally book again. Super fun for birthdays, as groups or just to do something different .

My advice ? Dress super comfy because you will be finding clues for almost an hour standing up, be ready to have to really really look for clues and think hard about making sense of them. Also... split up. don't focus on the same clues because you guys have time so just spread and have fun. I would have LOVED to have more time or to be able to do it again !

5/5 for me for that room !!

I really like Eescape compare to other Escape rooms in Edmonton. The room are very large so you dont feel like you are stuck in a tiny little cell. The room feature a lot of high tech stuff which I have never seen anywhere else in the city. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this facility to all my friends.

While the story line was fine, the room wasn't built very well. Also, puzzles to solve will be a lock on a box majority of the time. That's fine but other companies offer a larger variety, such as hidden doors, sensors, magnets, lasers, and more. For the same price, I would recommend another company unfortunately to get the best experience.

Our group has done several escape rooms with four different companies around Edmonton and EEscape was, by far, the most disappointing. The whole place feels really grungy (in a dark basement).

We did Samara with 6 people (max 8 people in the room) and we did not need nearly that many people in the room. Most of the puzzles could be completed by two people and the rest of the people were left standing around watching since there weren't other puzzles to work on in the meanwhile. The production value of the room was really cheap and low quality (props were low quality, set up of the room was meh). We really didn't feel immersed in the story at all.

Even though we escaped out of the room, we did not get that feeling of "oh yahhh! We did it!!" because the puzzles and the room atmosphere were so meh and we felt we didn't have to exert too much brain power to escape. Out of comparison, there was a couple before us doing their very first escape room and they almost escaped out of Samara.

We also did not enjoy the huge talk by the staff member at the beginning about us being charged huge dollars for all these different things if we broke it, etc etc (the guy went on and on and on about it!). It put a negative feeling in us even before we started the room.

The only reason we didn't feel extremely ripped off is because we had a 20% off coupon, which softened the blow a little. I would not return to this escape room to try their other rooms. There are so many other places to go to that provide a better service and entertainment value.

I have done other escape room locations in the Edmonton area and this one was extremely disappointing. A couple friends and I did the room Samara which did not remotely follow the prologue story provided. The props were garage-sale worthy (in the bin that no one wants to take from). And my group did not find any resolution to the room and continuity throughout the rooms didn't make much sense either. The buzzer in the room didn't work all the time either. The one thing they had going for the room was a couple neat transitions from room to room. Other than that, pretty grungy place and difficulty level is underestimated in their rating. I would suggest going to a different escape room location if you want fun.

And you have to pay for parking.
