The Alberta Provincial legislature, a historical building, seat of the Provincial government. Great place to people watch in a non contemporary, almost surrealistic setting.

Beautiful building and grounds. Definitely worth the trip in spite of the couple hundred Pokémon zombies walking around.

We went at night and were blown away by the beauty of this location! They could use a map of the area though, showing where various monuments are.

The Alberta Legislature grounds are home to Festivals with Food and Entertainment and Canada Day Fireworks Displays. The grounds have great access via the High Level Bridge and Public Transit/LRT as well as from the Jasper Avenue/Downtown Areas. The grounds overlook the Beautiful Picturesque North Saskatchewan River Valley making it a wonderful area to view the Holiday Fireworks Displays launched... More

I was born in Alberta's capital city of Edmonton, and have visited the Legislature many times in my life. Alberta became a province in 1905 on September 1st, so I made another trip to the Leg, (pronounced "ledge" in our fair city) and reminded myself about our rich provincial history. Any trip here should take a day, because there is... More

Learn so much about Alberta, history, government, the building, some elected and appointed members and the palm trees. This tour of just under one hour is time well invested. The tour leader is extremely informative and receptive to questions. The building is near a bus stop and parking and in a wonderful, large park like setting.

The staff were friendly and the tour was good but I don't personally find legislature buildings that interesting.

What a treat to be able to tour the buildings while the house is not sitting. It is a magnificent structure build with marble from Quebec in the early 1900's. Great for tourists and locals as well. FREE too!

Beautiful building with super friendly staff. We went late in the afternoon and missed the last tour but the info desk staff member informed us to visit the new legislature building and even walked with us over. The 4D show was awesome, relevant, interesting for kids, and educational about Alberta history. Definitely recommend for anyone to visit.
