This is a great place to visit in the summer. Super family friendly, and free! The tours of the building run every hour and are informative. But bring your swimsuit and towels and hang out on the lawns and in the wading pools and enjoy the surroundings. The wading pools are extensive and will keep kids entertained for hours on... More

Just a beautiful place to spend the day. Very easy to access, transit and LRT come right to the grounds, bike paths border the park by the river, even good access to parking (if you are willing to pay). Numerous public events are held in the park.

Our Tuesday walking group along with my 2 year old grandson visited the Alberta Legislative grounds. We were 29 strong. We arrived at the fountain pond at the front (north side) of the Legislative building. We took group pictures on the steps. Following that we wandered through the Lois Hole garden, the memorial monument honouring fallen police officers, the Sculpture... More

Who we are and our freedoms to express our selves as individuals and as a country is celebrated throughout the buildings. I especially was encouraged by the tribute to our 5 women extraordinaire who tirelessly worked to have women acknowledged as people and to have the right to vote!

"Fascinating" Take the tour, the water fountain in the middle of the Legislature view and stand on the magic spot on the third floor, the palm room at the very top. The art and history, the grounds alone you will not be disappointed!

This is a great place to find Pokemon and the location is so very beautiful! The grass is so very green with matching water fountains and a nice pool you can swim in. Overall great times.

A visit to the Alberta Leg is more about the grounds, gardens and fountains than the building itself. The building conducts organized tours after going through security. However, much of the attraction is walking the grounds on a nice day in summer or even in winter when all the trees are lit with Christmas lights. Fountains and pools are a... More
