There are so many parks and ravines in Edmonton. Mill Creek Ravine Park just outside downtown is one of my favourites - great experience, fresh air, bird watching and some exercise - what more do you want

Mill Creek ravine is one of my favourite spots to run. It's easily accessible if you park at the velodrome off Argyll. There are parts in the ravine that are so quiet, you can forget for a moment that you're in the middle of the city. Bring your bug spray!

I love cycling through here the bike paths are very well maintained and lead to river valley paths so you can continue to explore. I have been going here since I was a kid and now as I near 50, still come to this day. Fantastic place to traverse.

This is ravine has two levels of paths. Those on the west side of the ravine are largely paved and include a wide multiuse thoroughfare (no motorized vehicles) that follows the old railway route from about 73 Ave north. It is paved from 76 Ave north. The east side of the ravine is more rugged with steeper hills and lots of unattended side pathways, particularly north of 82 Ave, just passed the City of Edmonton's Mill Creek Pool. These and some of those on the west side closer to the creek side, are used by casual mountain bikers, kids on adventures and walkers alike. The main paved path is used by pedestrian and bike commuters as well as those out for a break from the noise and sights of the city. There are parking lots at the top of the ravine near the velodrome at about 65 Ave and next to the pool.

This area is periodically patrolled and surrounded on both sides by mature residential developments. It does not seem a favorite of "homeless people" for camping, but is not far from the Youth Emergency Shelter and does offer an easy incline for its resident and others to the south side. Generally it is a "live and let live" atmosphere and there is not a history of assaults in the area greater than other park areas of Edmonton. Most of this ravine is designated an on-leash area for dogs, however no one seems to attend to this much or be concerned about it other than when owners don't clean up after their pets or when dogs chase bikes or are too friendly with kids.

Love mill creek ravine for a leisurely walk or run. Lots of stairs throughout if you want to up your workout. In the core of the ravine there is an offleash dog park so you can let your furry friends get some exercise too! One drawback is that some areas sometimes have dank smells due to manholes.

I have lived in Edmonton my whole life and I swam in the pool and driven by it daily for decades. Finally rode my bike through last week! I was in a different world! Incredible! Paths are great, atmosphere serene, and sights beautiful! If you have not walked/biked do it now!

This is a great place to go for a stroll in the summer. The scenery is surprisingly beautiful for being so close to the core of Edmonton.

Found this park in the ravine below a bridge in the middle of the craziness that is Edmonton. The day was +30 this outdoor pool was a welcome diversion with family rates of 20.00 for 6 this was an affordable diversion on a beautiful day. After the swim there were FREE nature trails to walk and small snacks, drinks, and treats available.

We visited the park for a winter festival and found it quite attractive and pleasant despite some very cold weather. There are excellent, safe walking trails and good parking near the Millcreek outdoor pool (which during the summer is an excellent place for children to swim and cool off). You can find lots of birds and other wildlife particularly at twilight.
