The attractive City Hall
Aug 2019
I like the City Hall, Edmonton. There was some construction, however I was able to take some pictures.

The City Hall is made with orange bricks.

There is a huge pillar. We cannot miss the City Hall, Edmonton.

Nearby of the huge pillar, there are a structure with glass. Quite attractive!

The street nearby the City Hall, Edmonton had some motives. That was cool!

There were flowers as well.

Not worth going any longer
Oct 2019
City hall itself is OK however the fountain is gone. The Mayor decided after 20 years, without no serious injuries ever, the water was to deep. The new "angle deep waste of money wading pool (if that's what you want to call it)" will be open next year. The spray is gone, the side seats that all the trees were located are gone - they have wooden benches in place and very few trees. There are a number of flood lights shining weere the trees once where. My predication - little children who do not pick up their feet will fall and injure themselves bad since there will be no water to slow down the impact and because the water is so shallow many children will trip. As many projects - this too was a waste of tax payers money. As someone who has lived in Edmonton all my live, I am greatly disappointed.

The City Hall is a modern and very beautiful structure.
The architecture is light and nice, and daylight gives the inside a very pleasant look. Worth a visit!

Frustrating
Aug 2019
Not knowing who to attach this rating to. I chose City Hall. We stayed in St Albert, guests at Best Western Plus for 5 nights. One day, I took my disabled son (in a wheelchair full time) out for a walk. We headed out to walk to the Walmart on St Albert Trail. No signs posted about anything out of the ordinary with regards to the construction further up on St Albert Trail. Nothing that I needed to know as a pedestrian, especially as a pedestrian with a disabled person with me. We arrive at the intersection with all the construction, still no signs up, providing foot traffic of special instructions. I cross the street and discover the sidewalk is closed on both sides of St Albert Trail, with no way to get to the Walmart, from where we were at. I decide to detour a bit, I go down one block, then over 1 block, I ask a local, can we get to the Walmart from here. He said, no, there is no way out of here, it is a closed community, you have to go down 1 kilometre however there are no sidewalks. There was finally one sign posted about the sidewalk closed, on a side street is where this sign was though, not on the Main Street - St Albert Trail, where it would have been very useful information to have, for tourists/visitors to the area and the hotel offered no information to us, either about the construction and sidewalk closures. This is important information for visitors to have. I had to call my husband to come pick us up.

There are better ways to spend taxpayers money, but the takers dont care.building is no big deal and probably went way over budjet as they dont care.as with most city projects its waste, waste waste.

Amazing architecture, beautiful light, a real people place
Apr 2019 • Couples
We don't live in Edmonton, but when we visit the city and head downtown, we like to park in the large parking garage underneath. The best part is emerging from the parkade into the atrium of City Hall, it's a stunningly gorgeous place, bathed in light and shadows. Don't miss it! Calgary City Hall is always shut over the weekend, it's quite dingy inside, and doesn't hold a candle to Edmonton's City Hall at all...
