Good way to spend a couple hours
June 2023 During the fire evacutation they were offering free entry to those affected by the fires so I brought my 9 year old. We so much appreicated having something free to do during such a stressful time. We first went to the The Art Of Brick lego exibit which you need to have a specific entry time for, once you leave you are not supposed to go back in. It had some really cool lego art made in there. There is an area you can build your own creations too. My daughter loved the space area and the health zone was also neat. It is a good way to spend a couple hours.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at TELUS World of Science - Edmonton during a challenging time. We're glad to hear that our offer of free entry provided you and your 9-year-old with a much-needed respite. We're thrilled that you enjoyed The Art Of Brick Lego exhibit and found the Lego art to be cool. It's great to hear that your daughter loved the space area and found the health zone to be interesting. We strive to provide a variety of engaging and educational experiences for our visitors. We appreciate your feedback and hope that you and your family had a memorable visit with us. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future for more enriching experiences.

Positive experience/feel I am one of your valued customers./worth being a member to enjoy all the benefits I am able to
My name is nellie, I am a long term member, I have been going to the Telus World to see the shows and exhibits for years. Today my call was answered by one of their customer service representatives by the name Thea. I found him to be an excellent listener, knowledgeable, well trained, respectful, genuine and helpful, he is well suited to his job . He has a lot of patience, he answered so many questions I asked about my membership, exhibits, gift shops, and upcoming events. Thea is definitely an asset to the Science Space Centre. I would like to thank the management, and supervisors for hiring and training talented, hard working staff to work as a strong team and deliver quality service to us. Keep up with your good work. We see the icing on the cake, I realize and recognize a lot of planning, preparing, keeping up with deadlines and many expected and unexpected challenges involved in keeping Telus World of Science as one of educational and entertaining facility in This great city. All the best.

So much to DO and SEE
This was a great visit on a cold December day. The Marvel exhibit had activities for kids and historical Marvel details for adults. Great mix of displays for the whole family. The Science areas were filled with easy to challenging activities for the kids with practical examples of science in our everyday world. All the demo staff were great with the kids too. Recommend going right at opening and visiting Marvel (or what ever the special exhibit is) first, then exploring the rest of the centre. We used our local science centre membership to access the Telus centre for FREE (Canadian Association of Science Centres), and only had to pay for the Marvel exhibit.

We bought a grandparent annual membership for $165.95 because we know that there is no way we could explore all the zones and activities in the building. We arrived at 10:30am, left at noon for lunch, and returned at 1:15ish. The parking lot was almost full. Next time, we will try eating there instead. We didn't manage to see any show nor presentation. The 8 and 6 years old were overwhelmed even though this wasn't their first visit. Their last visit was a couple years ago with another couple. We left at 3:30pm and promised will go again in the near future. I would imagine we need at least 4 separate visits in order to cover the majority of activities, zones, presentations, and shows. The Hours of Operation is too short. A single admission for an adult is too expensive. If you have a young family, a family annual membership is a better deal $199+. Everything seems very clean and today wasn't crowded. The customer service was wonderful.

We visited for the Marvel exhibit but really enjoyed most areas of the museum, even though our kids are 12 and 21. The environmental area and the space area are especially well done. The IMAX on the rainforest was incredible. Could easily have spent a whole day here. The Marvel exhibit is wonderful for anyone who loves superheroes!

It’s okay. Definitely not a cheap day out. The food in the restaurant looked good, but a bit pricey. The hands on areas are good, but being there when there are schools present is not ideal as there are way too many kids with limited supervision. I’ve been twice in the past 5 years and I’d say that I’m probably good forever. My kids really liked it, which is what really matters.

Maybe Covid has made things tough but things still seemed pretty average. Despite everything, including expansion construction was nice to see TWOSE open. We started with the 3D imax of Antarctic dinosaurs…was very good but the online seating system had people sitting in the poorest viewing areas. With a very small amount of people they could have been in better seats..ie Center seating…still spaced as per protocol…the Dino exhibit hopefully appeals to children as the displays seamed old and even showed tears in them….but my real complaint lies with the Dome theatre. I think it would have been a really nice thing to tell patrons where the better seating was prior to the movie, based on the bulk of the film. We spent 80% of Big Astronomy craning our necks twisted in our seats as the film was not in relationship to the bulk of the seating. …still enjoyed our day but these are a couple of things to note…and BTW there’s no more “Sophie”..the true planetarium…sad..but times are a changing.

My family and I took my 6 year old niece and she definitely had fun. It seemed more geared to children (full of summer camps). There is an Apollo exhibit right now and that seemed to be the only thing unique to this science centre.
If you live in Edmonton and have children it’s a good activity but if you’re on vacation it’s a hard pass. If it wasn’t raining we would have went to Fort Edmonton.

We have an annual family membership here so that tells you this place is good. (We have been coming for 6 years so the excitement has worn off for me). The kids love it though, (they would probably rate a 5/5) especially the special exhibits, like the exploring the deep. The CurioCity which is good for under 9s but kids 6 and under get more from it. The shows in the Ziedler Dome, the interactive science experiments, the hands on marble runs and other creative science experiences really help encourage kids to ask questions and learn about the world out there.

And.. we can get in to Telus spark in Calgary on the same membership if you fancy a change.

I have loved going to the Telus World of Science! There are always different Imax films, always amazing, and they change the exhibits often enough to want to go more often. This is one place the whole family can enjoy. Just don't leave your phone in the fabulous gift shop!
