Between Christmas and New Year we visited and realized that the Science Centre is over 40 years old. But it's very well maintained and it just happened to have the Marvel Comic exhibition on show.

The tickets are a little pricey, $140 for two adults and two teens.

The Marvel Comics was worth it. Many original hand drawn artwork along with the life history of Stan Lee. You will also see the very first edition of the very first comic behind bullet proof glass (I think it's bullet proof).

Also included in the admission is the dome theatre's shows. We saw two shows, one of the creation of the universe and the other of the Northern Lights. In the middle of the dome, they provide huge pillows for you to lie down so that you can experience the 360 degree of the dome presentations (20-30 minutes each).

There's also a big cafe that you can buy food and snacks.

Lots of free parking available.

This is a fun place for children as there are many hands-on stations. As for my teens, the Marvel exhibition was the main attraction. Worth visiting.

We love the Telus World of Science and have visited many times. Most recently, we visited in June 2019 after we were evacuated from our community due to wildfires. The Science Centre actually offered us free passes because of our situation and it was so nice. Our kids (ages 12, 8 and 8) were happy to pass the time and get their mind of the situation. There is always so much to do and the exhibits change often, so each time you visit is a new experience. There is a lot to explore, many hands-on exhibits for grown-ups and kids, and a daily schedule of in-person shows/demonstrations and learning opportunities. We always make a point to see an IMAX documentary while there, and we also love the Zeidler Dome, which is included in the admission. They have a great cafeteria with lots of different food options. It's a great place to spend the whole day. It can seem a bit expensive, but it is so worth it. There is so much to do inside. It was very thoughtful for them to offer us free admission, however, we'd have gone regardless. We have gone when our kids were babies and toddlers, and the spaces are all easily accessible with strollers. They have lockers. I love that you can explore at your own pace and return to your favourite exhibits. My kids go back and forth, exploring all day long and never get bored. I highly recommend the Telus World of Science in Edmonton!

Plenty of free parking to start your time here. As other reviews mention, cafe needs better logistics & updating in menu. (Bring your own snacks, if you plan on spending the better part of a day here) With a larger family, we purchase annual passes as going once, can almost tally the same as a yearly pass. With an annual pass, it’s a great option for a rainy day or a even a 1-2 hr visit. With an annual pass, you receive discounts on extras, such as imax. Definitely recommend!

We visited for the Marvel exhibit but really enjoyed most areas of the museum, even though our kids are 12 and 21. The environmental area and the space area are especially well done. The IMAX on the rainforest was incredible. Could easily have spent a whole day here. The Marvel exhibit is wonderful for anyone who loves superheroes!

My family and I took my 6 year old niece and she definitely had fun. It seemed more geared to children (full of summer camps). There is an Apollo exhibit right now and that seemed to be the only thing unique to this science centre.
If you live in Edmonton and have children it’s a good activity but if you’re on vacation it’s a hard pass. If it wasn’t raining we would have went to Fort Edmonton.

It’s okay. Definitely not a cheap day out. The food in the restaurant looked good, but a bit pricey. The hands on areas are good, but being there when there are schools present is not ideal as there are way too many kids with limited supervision. I’ve been twice in the past 5 years and I’d say that I’m probably good forever. My kids really liked it, which is what really matters.

Maybe Covid has made things tough but things still seemed pretty average. Despite everything, including expansion construction was nice to see TWOSE open. We started with the 3D imax of Antarctic dinosaurs…was very good but the online seating system had people sitting in the poorest viewing areas. With a very small amount of people they could have been in better seats..ie Center seating…still spaced as per protocol…the Dino exhibit hopefully appeals to children as the displays seamed old and even showed tears in them….but my real complaint lies with the Dome theatre. I think it would have been a really nice thing to tell patrons where the better seating was prior to the movie, based on the bulk of the film. We spent 80% of Big Astronomy craning our necks twisted in our seats as the film was not in relationship to the bulk of the seating. …still enjoyed our day but these are a couple of things to note…and BTW there’s no more “Sophie”..the true planetarium…sad..but times are a changing.

We have an annual family membership here so that tells you this place is good. (We have been coming for 6 years so the excitement has worn off for me). The kids love it though, (they would probably rate a 5/5) especially the special exhibits, like the exploring the deep. The CurioCity which is good for under 9s but kids 6 and under get more from it. The shows in the Ziedler Dome, the interactive science experiments, the hands on marble runs and other creative science experiences really help encourage kids to ask questions and learn about the world out there.

And.. we can get in to Telus spark in Calgary on the same membership if you fancy a change.

I have loved going to the Telus World of Science! There are always different Imax films, always amazing, and they change the exhibits often enough to want to go more often. This is one place the whole family can enjoy. Just don't leave your phone in the fabulous gift shop!

My boys loved the Ripley's believe it or not that is on right now. I felt very safe with the covid precautions in place here. The staff were amazing and knowledgeable. A lot of interactives you can do with the use on sticks that they give you at the start.
