We were so happy we decided to partake in this Canadian Signature Experience rated tour which definitely lived up to our expectations. Our delightful guide Barbara enlivened our delicious food and drink pairings with stories of the castle (hotel) and food facts about Alberta. With the tour being in mid-afternoon, we expected we would be having dinner later that evening, but didn't need to, as we were quite full after our 'Eat the Castle" afternoon! Thank you to Alberta Food Tour owner Karen Anderson for putting together such a great Banff experience!!

Too little alcohol! Hahaha Just kidding of course (that's an inside joke for Karen, the tour guide). If you're so inclined the bartenders at the Fairmont can make a gin cocktail that would knock out Boris Yeltsin, but there's tasty non-alcoholic options as well. We had a lovely time. Expect delicious, unpretentious food, a really informative host and great company. I never knew Alberta had such a rich culinary tradition and would now happily return. Two and a half hours well spent.

Big thank you goes out to our tour guide and company founder Karen! I have thoroughly enjoyed a mix of wonderful food samples and history of Fairmont Hotel and surrounding area. The food was straight from the restaurant menu’s and plenty for a lunch. The tour was set up in accordance with COVID 19 safety rules and very well organized so did not take away from our experience. Small group allowed for more personal feel. I highly recommend this tour, enjoy!

We received the 17th avenue tour as a gift. As Calgarians, we weren't sure what to expect. We met up with our guide & group at Cibos where we were welcomed with a glass of wine. Our guide made everyone in the group feel comfortable - people from all over the world made it more fun! We toured the Cabo's building and chatted with the chef while he made fresh pizza - delicious. And that was just our first stop! Three other restaurants who all treated us exceptionally well and a stop for a craft beer and then for desert a make your tea and meringue tasting rounded off a fantastic afternoon.
