7 reviews
Skirt the slopes of the Continental Divide as you explore Yoho National Park and beyond with an experienced local guide. Spend time meandering along the shores of Moraine Lake's opalescent waters and examine the natural span of a river-carved bridge created over thousands of years.

From a central meeting location in Calgary, ride out of town with your guide as you head toward the evergreen forest and granite peaks of Yoho National Park. Look for moose, bear, and elk that call this stunning landscape home, and make a stop at Lake Louise to snap photos of its turquoise waters, just steps away from Banff's charming downtown.

Find out how railway engineers overcame the Continental Divide's steep terrain with a visit to the serpentine Sprial Tunnels, see where the Kicking Horse River punched through rock to create a natural bridge, and fill your camera with postcard-worthy shots of Moraine Lake's brilliant color before you return to your ride and catch a lift back to Calgary.

Calgary is an amazing city for its outdoor art and sculpture, the Wonderland Sculpture is a perfect example which looks even more magical lit-up at night! We actually visited in April 2019 and would recommend this beautiful city as a must see on a trip to Canada, especially with its close proximity to Alberta's Rocky Mountains.

Not necessarily worth going out of your way for, but if you're nearby, you can admire both the Bow building and this sculpture at the same time.

Loved this sculpture of a girls head in wire mesh. It sits below the tallest building in Calgary It was created by a Spanish artist, and you can actually walk through it at street lavel. Nice

Wonderland Sculpture at night was pretty amazing located in downtown Calgary and it's close to many other nice attractions that can be easily found on Tripadvisor.

With so few people working downtown during these times of restrictions, the entire downtown is quite devoid of people. But if you find yourself in Calgary (or live here) and you haven't encountered Jaume Plensa's extraordinary art, this might be the time to check out both of his works here. Warning: All the buildings are currently closed, and restaurants, if they open, can only do take-out, and nobody is opening their washrooms. So you can come and see this, but you are advised to stay focussed, and enjoy the incredible art. Don't dally though, check out the big statue in the front (south) side and the smaller one in the back (north) side, then return to your hotel or head back home. Restrictions are easing up, so check out all the websites to see what's open and what's not before you head downtown.
