I was on an errand downtown, and was near the Bow skyscraper. You can see this fantastic art work for miles, and it is almost irresistible to explore. If you're within miles of the Bow building, do make a point of checking it out, from every angle, inside and out, bring the kids, you won't be disappointed.

You can see this sculpture from a distance as you walk up Centre Street. It is very large and eye-catching. You can also walk into and through it to the other side. Although we were there during the day, there were lights, so it would be interesting to see it lit up at night. The bent wire gives this massive sculpture an unexpected airiness.

This is world-class art. But in the winter, it is now made slightly remote by the widespread closure of the Plus 15 system on weekends. During the week it's easy to get to and enjoy, the restaurants are open during the day. But on the weekend, no longer a reliable all-year tourist attraction.

Ont the southern side of the Bow skyscraper lies this unusual work. It is not its 39 foot height that makes it surreal but its wiring allowing you to look through it. You can actually enter the sculpture from below for a different perspective. It depicts a girl representing the dreams of the province's young people; hmm.

Every place should attempt at getting a vibrant art scene. Calgary attempted at that here. Failed miserably

We were just walking around when impressed by this amazing piece of art! We did not know what it was, but liked it at first sight!

Calgary really must have issues when they continue to list art statues as attractions for visitors to come see!!

Really let you know that the city that you are visiting is a dud with nothing really to see!!

Calgary advert should be come see our basic city art since we have nothing to offer!! Great way of promoting the city!!

A beautiful and well designed piece of architectural brilliance. You won’t walk past it without taking its photograph, I promise you.

All good art is an interactive experience to some degree and this work by Jaume Plensa is no exception. It is meant to be viewed from a distance as well close up. You can even walk inside the head which changes your perspective completely. I especially like the night view when it’s all lit up.

As we walked down the street the sculpture changes from step to step. It is a perception changer. The piece is large and a wonder to see in person.
