with all the development and loss of architectural and working history in downtown calgary it is absolutely heart warming to go past this location on a daily basis and see how it is still functioning to this day. it's location on macleod trail make it a sort of memorial gateway to all of our important fire services and their publicly important beginnings in the creation of our city as a forward thinking centre in our once isolated province. it is extraordinary to think the number of people in this city that owe a debt of gratitude to the amazing people who operate this historic unit which protects our downtown core. go on by and say thank you to an ems or fire staffer today to show your support and encourage the true preservation of this site.
