The Swan Mall which surrounds the fabulous Prairie Chicken sculpture is being totally revamped. Most of the trees are gone, and the famous sculpture has been put in storage. According to the redevelopment project website, everything will be complete, and the statue returned in 2022....More

Its real name isn’t the Prairie Chicken. I wonder if the creator of this abstract aluminum sculpture, Vancouverite George A. Norris, learned his lesson and stopped leaving his works untitled. But somehow the nickname seems right for this huge metal artwork. It certainly is birdlike....More
