Located on the second floor inside the Glenbow Museum (approx 100m from Calgary Tower). Turn right at top of elevator & you will find 3 sculptures up here. Funny to find a mermaid statue in middle of Calgary, so had to see it to find out why & now you can to. If you are visiting the museum or walking past - worth a quick look. Also good chance to get in out of the cold or wet weather as it was this day.…

So many bronze statues have very emotionless faces, almost generic and not appealing. Not this one. Recently on some business at the Convention Centre, I looked more closely, and noticed how pretty she is. If you're on the east side Plus 15 System, or the Convention Centre, or the Glenbow Museum downtown, check her out. Infatuation might ensue... :)…

The Danish community is not the largest ethnic community in Calgary or Alberta, but Danes have done well here and have given a lot back. One of the their nicest gestures is a replica of the Little Mermaid Statue tourists will remember from Copenhagen. Located in the +15 system and the TELUS Convention Centre, it can be enjoyed by all.…

Nice to see a small replica of Copenhagen Denmarks famous statue. It's surroundings on the 2nd floor of Calgary Convention Centre is lackluster at best. If you happen to need a walk while on a conference break search it out. Lackluster surrounding presentation would make me suggest not to go very far out of your way to find it though. …
