We went out to the Weaselhead on a sunny but cool day, and it was great! We entered from South Glenmore Park, and the hill down into the flats was packed snow, and not slippery, so the going was excellent. The main trail is nicely...More

Bring some water and go for a couple hours. Park at the 37st entrance and take the big hill down. I hiked and biked the area ten times over the summer. Watch for deer and other wildlife in the area. The river has changed over...More

The trails into the Weaselhead are not maintained by the city for ice and snow, and so you are a little on your own when the snow starts to fly starting in October, ending in May. The accesses from the south / South Glenmore Park...More

The Weaselhead Flats are absolutely gorgeous. There is plenty of wildlife around, including (but certainly not limited to): beavers, muskrats, deer, moose, and much more. It's a great place to walk and bike, as well. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful place in July with lots of birds, animal and wild flowers. Best put on some sunscreen and insect repellent if going on unpaved trails. Bring a hat and water as it can get really hot.

Like a lot of places in our winter city, they can be experienced all year. But nothing beats a warm summer day in a wonderful piece of wilderness. Currently, there is a lot of noise from the road construction to the west, but the sights...More

Loving the diversity in the landscape while here from hoodoos and canyons to badlands and tons of free parkettes. When I saw Weaselhead Flats I thought whoever is responsible for naming these areas captured the feel of a turn of the century Western locale with...More

Have not been here for a while so it was nice to go back for a revisit. This is a beautiful, peaceful hike right within the city limits. There is ample parking, outhouse facilities (in the parking lot), and easy to find. The path consists...More

I went there yesterday. I´ve heard a lot of amazing things about this place, and I wasn´t disappointed. You have the option to walk on North or South Glenmore Park, and in the middle is Weasselhead. I walk through different trails, some are for bikes,...More
