I was at YUM Bakery this morning. I had a nice lady in front of me having an in-depth conversation with her 2 year old on what to get. It was very odd considering the two year old didn't have a clue....she 2. The mom keep it up for close to a minute with zero results.
I then choose to go around her to order. The young lady behind the counter said, sorry I need het order, she was here first. Woke cluelessness in full form. I left and will from this point on stop investing in this place.
I do understand the lady with the two year old (A Bit) but folks try clueing in that people are trying to also purchase.
Two other people left the line up after the clueless staff member informed me to wait my turn. Stunned.

This was a nice market to visit. It has lots of ready to eat food vendors, many produce vendors and several arts and crafts vendors. I was expecting more produce vendors. It is all indoors which is nice on those dreary days.
I would go back to it.

I love most things about this farmers market. But what drives me absolutely crazy is the noise that comes from Yum Bakery's bread slicer. There is no need for this. It is impossible to carry on a conversation while it's going which can be for several minutes at a time. This has been discussed with the owners many times by both customers and market staff but they are very dismissive about it. I refuse to buy anything from Yum anymore. Cob's Bakery gets my business. Fabulous products and a silent bread slicer.

it seams like every time we go this place has something new to offer with a new vendor or a current one has come up with something different. The kids enjoy all the backed goods and I enjoy the wine shop!

We stopped for an afternoon stroll to see the amazing selection of farm, food and goods from this area. We were impressed by the cherries, meats and fresh produce.

Our first visit to the relocated Calgary Farmers Market since it opened in April 2011. It was originally at Currie Barracks in SW. Calgary. It is spacious and full of wonderful fresh fruit and vegetables all grown within the Calgary general area or at least in central and southern Alberta. Other booths include those with fresh meats from beef, bison, elk, and other game animals to fresh fish and seafood from the west coast. Field Stone Fruit wines of Strathmore are also featured. There are various pastry, fruit and savoury Simple Simon Pies and icecreams, available. There are several craft booths featuing wonderul soaps and jewellry. There are too many varieties to mention. At one end of the market is a large number of food kiosks featuring pizza; Belgian waffles, beef on a bun, mini donuts, Korean bbq to name a few. The market is open on Thursday from 10am to 5 pm, and on Friday, Saturday and Sundays all year around. Check their website for times. Free parking is available although over the weekend, it would be in short supply. We do recommend this attraction.

I go there every single weekend and still seem to find new things to buy! The fruits and veggies at Cherry Pit are beautiful -- and don't forget to use their free Vegetable Butcher service! The food at Two Greek Gals is divine. I droll over their souvlaki. Choklat as mouth-watering truffles. I could go on and on. . .

We have visited this market almost every trip to Calgary. Lunch is an enjoyable experience with plenty of booths to select from. The eating area is bright, open and have a nice fireplace in the middle. There is a nice little play area for those with small kids. The main reason we keep returning is for the Missing Link Chicken Sausage booth.. Once you have tried one of their wide selection of flavours you will be back!

60% food hall/40% farmer's market, not that it's a bad thing. Wonderful selections and a great place for lunch!

The weather was bad so we looked for an indoor place and were incredibly surprised how nice the Market is. The food stalls are full of interesting and great food. Our son bought a pie and we eneded up getting 7 more cause they were terrific and the pie lady was a hoot. Samples of everything are available and we ended up getting plenty of food for an evening in rathering than going out to a restaurant. Great Job Calgary Market.... will be heading back next weekend.

Hooray! What a delightful way to spend a dreary day! We're so glad to hear that you were pleasantly surprised with the market, enjoyed pies, and found some delicious food to gather around your table together. We couldn't be happier that you had such a great experience and are looking forward to returning soon.

Most of the vendors accept credit cards, all vendors accept debit. And we do have a number of ATMs on site as well.
